Device Displayed Color on ISY994i Admin Console

Someone asked this question, but it was not really answered.  The answer told how to change the background, but not the colour.  I find the pink that is used for all of the insteon and z-wave devices nearly impossible to read.  I have to wonder why this colour was chosen and why it cannot be changed?

You cant pick your own colors, only choose between a few theme's under File > Theme's

the pink/purple color is complained about a lot, but sadly it's still used.  On thing that Improves it's readability greatly is to increase the font size, but don't use font size 14... it doesn't format drop-downs in Programs correctly (the others work tho).

But the colour is not a great one for someone who is colour challenged.  Changing the font size unfortunately does not help much.

@MKaye I'm not sure where you see pink. I just ran through all the themes and didn't see pink text anywhere.

My "default" theme appears like this: (blue text w/ blue & white rows)

You can change the theme colors from File -> Themes

Perhaps you have something in the windows (or mac) settings changing how some of this shows up. I don't recall anybody posting screen shots that appeared to have pink text. There is red in the default theme, but it's fairly easy to read.

Post what you're seeing.

But, agree...sometimes small text can be difficult to read...even in the best color combination. I find I need to enlarge the text to 15 point to see on a 4k monitor. Sadly, even then the font size resets fairly often.

It's actually fuscia but this is what people call pink:

I dislike it also, and can't read it at native font size, but have learned to live with it by increasing the font size to 15.   Michel once said in other thread where people were complaining about this specific color that since with the move to polisy we would be moving away from the admin console, this wouldn't get changed.  However it appears the admin console is here to stay, so perhaps they should rethink and possible add a high contrast them, or expose the color settings and let users pick there own.   This problem effects people differently, I have great up close eyesight but image.png.658e6580588ae299711288138d9a84a2.png  on any of the theme's is difficult for me to read.  Another issue with theme settings is they go back to default when you least expect it, which requires changing the theme's and then re-closing the admin console and reopening.

Ahhh...I had everything collapsed in the main tree and just saw the folder blue colors. I see what it is now.

I guess the high contrast theme might be the best option for a white background against the pink/fuchsia.

This drives me batty more than anything else. It seems so random.

Since I was messing with theme settings I just tried High Contrast again, I might see if I can stick with it.  I used to not like this theme, but it does seem easier to read.

I think the Fuscia problem is a lot like Cilantro.  Many people love Cilantro, but to some it tastes like soap.  I think image.png.1a4d0ab1b8ae8afeb5708f65df6949ac.pngis more difficult for different people, and it definitely hard on the blue background of the default theme.

I find the "Desert" theme most pleasing, the high contrast i find too stark. I have normal color vision.

But, colors are a biggie issue, some 8% of males are color vision deficient, and there are two large groups with one red deficient, the other with red-green confusion, and all have gradations of severity. Generally well saturated colors will be discriminated. Only about 0.2% of females have heritable color vision deficiency.
