Ive talked to two other people and none had a cable.  Oh well

They were shipped with original PLMs, sorry you didn't find yours.  Probably thrown out with the box.  Since I still have a new 2413s in the original box, here's how it was hidden from you:

Note: the glue on the device carrier in the box has deteriorated and is no longer holding the carrier in shape.  The left flap on the circled portion was originally glued making that a solid "rectangular tube".

Yes very easy to make one... I used one of these (I have many laying around from old Cisco days)...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollover_cable

I cut off the existing RJ45 end, then checked continuity using a multi-meter on the serial port end to locate the wires for appropriate pins 2, 3, and GND. Note that not all cables are made same and some have different colors, so cannot really make a guide based on color. I then used a new RJ45 crimp connect and connected the correct wires pins to 1,7,8. Since I work in IT, have experience in cabling/terminating, and I have these tools, it may be be a challenge for many others. Therefore what you can do is cut the existing cable back a bit further or in half, and just figure out which wires on each end correspond to what pins using a multi-meter and reconnect the wires appropriately (preferably solder, but twisting/taping would work) instead of crimping a new end on.

Lots available here for cheap....
