How to import devices into ELRP using a node server

When I disarm my alarm using keyfob button #2 (the disarm button), the power turns on to my overhead garage door.  By default I keep the overhead garage door power, turned off and it only turns on for 5 min when I open the garage man door or push the keyfob button.  I also use to use it for turning on a outside light by pushing button #4.  As of now it doesnt look like ELKRP can control any Insteon devices.  Is this correct?

@Blackbird Here is an example of an ELK controlling an Insteon scene. In this scene when the front door opens, this event is passed to the ISY994i which then activates the Insteon scene if it is dark inside the home and the alarm is set to away (meaning no one is home). It uses one state variable for the alarm, which is explained.

There is no direct option that ive seen in the node server that handles the keyfob buttons

There may not be, I haven't checked.  But it is easy to work around.  For example, write a rule in Elk to turn an output on for 1 second when you push the function key, then have ISY node server trigger a program based on the output turning on.  Or you could just have ISY turn on the GDO for 5 minutes every time the alarm changes from armed to disarmed.  Elk has hundredes of outputs, most won't actually be an output (unless you bought a boat load of output boards), but you can still turn them on and use them as "flags".

Thank you guys, for the suggestions.  What I actually did as a work around is setup an unused output in ELK and wrote a rule in ELKRP that when keyfob button 2 is pushed, the output is turned on.  Then in ISY the program has the power to the garage turn on when the output of the ELK is on.  Im amazed at how fast it works.  As soon as I push the button, the power to the garage turns on.

Thanks again

@Jimbo.Automates,

Apologies but I am not sure what exactly we need to offer. From ISY perspective, the customers choose from a list and then that's store in ISY. Is the question a GUI question?

With kind regards,
Michel

@Michel Kohanim We need a way for the user to tell the NS which devices they want to export.  Without the ELK Module in IoP how can we do that?

I can have them manually type in the device addresses into the PG3 UI but that is very painful.  Would be easier to tag devices somehow in the Admin Console.
