Zwave S0 & S2

With UD's support of ZMatter on both Polisy and eisy along with their implementation of S2 protocol, I was wondering if you have a Zwave system with both S0 & S2 device, would they share the same mesh network? Or would there be one mesh network for S0 devices and one for S2 devices?

I don’t know how Z-Wave handles things at the network level, but shouldn’t the controller <—> device communication handle this?  I have both on my current network, along with Z-Wave 300, 500 and 700 devices. Only one network, as far as I know.

I understand the ability to mix and match Zwave 300, 500, and 700 devices, just not sure if they can mesh together if some are S0 and some are S2, or does one protocol skip the other?

Also wondering if UD's specific implementation can impact functionality.

You can have them all on same controller. I choose to run no security on all mine. If you want to use basic associations then those devices must be same security.

I am aware that I can have them both on the same controller. Since associations work without involvement of the controller, I am not sure if it is relevant to my question about expanding the Zwave mesh.

Maybe I am not making my question clear, so let me try again.

My question is regarding the Zwave mesh and if S0 and S2 will all be part of the same mesh and be considered "neighbors" to each other? Or, would you need to build out two different Zwave meshes by adding sufficient devices for each security protocol?

Sorry I misunderstood original question. They will be part of same mesh, according to everything I have read about the protocol.

That's what I am hoping for.

Thanks for your input.
