I thought my icon was a hyper-link and it's actually a shortcut to admin.jnlp. It's been so long since I set that up. Sounds like I need to get an eisy and start fooling with it. I just hate getting stuck with trying to do everything on my iPhone but it sounds like the same interface as on my 994i will be available on the eisy and udmobile is an enhancement/additional feature. Am I correct? I DDNS/port forward/NAT into my 994i from the internet through my firewall and I want to keep that up & running. I've spent all day trying to move from a 994 to the eisy and have yet to come even close. Running linux and am well versed in the network (yeh, I can find the IP address) and I got UD mobile running but it doesn't do much. Have not been able to restore my devices from the 994. When I did put a zip file over on a tablet, and told UD mobile to do the backup, it said it completed and then to restart UDmobile. Trying to do that, UDMobile won't start. Comes up with a quick screen with nothing on it and then quits the app. I normally run the 994 from a linux pc and I know that with linux one usually has to stand on their head and whistle dixie to get things to go, but I can't make it with the eisy. I read somewhere that "the eisy is more for tinkerers..." and I agree with that. But I have been working with computers large and small for 60 years (yes, I'm old) and I can't make the eisy go. BTW, when trying to start the admin console through java and the pc, the IOX Finder can't find the eisy even when I feed it the IP address. Edited December 31, 2022 by bmarsh Link to comment
GJ Software Products
@bmarsh Yea, I'm old too, first box was the 1130 then 360/40 in the 70s. Yea, eisy good for tinkers. eisy must get DHCP then you can find the address in your clients table & see if you can ping it. then try to open https://[ipaddress]:8080/admin.jnlp and see if that gets you the admin console. Please see the link below for migration. Also please use ISY Finder to start the Admin Console. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migrating_from_994/Polisy_to_eisy https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Installation 1 Link to comment

How the heck does one make it pick ISY finder? Part of the complexity of getting things going. Link to comment
Javi
Does your system show up in IoX Finder, i.e. show an IP Address? If it does click the line item then select Admin Console. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Accessing_eisy If the IP Address is not listed it is possible your PC is or network is blocking the systems request, see troubleshooting: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Can't_Find_eisy Link to comment

IoX Finder = ISY Finder They are the same. UD changed the name a little while back getting ready for the eisy release, but they act the same. Link to comment
