After updating ISY994i to 5.3.4 successfully I did a power cycle on comcast modem and ISY. Now my isy says DICONNECTED. What did I do wrong to get into this mess?

@PapaBear what are the lights on the front of the ISY994 looking like?

It's possible that you power cycled your ISY994 before the Comcast gateway was completely back online and the ISY994 might not have valid IP. You should be able to power cycle the ISY994 again and it should reconnect. Monitor the front lights when you power it on.

If you're using a PLM make sure the PLM is plugged in first and has a solid green light before plugging in the ISY994.

Other possibility is if you had Static IP set on the ISY994 then it could be blocked by another device that took that IP address when the Gateway came back online. This is why it's suggested just to handle DHCP reservation for the unit at the Gateway/Router level rather than assigning it at the device level.

I did a power cycle in my ISY and the lights sequenced according to the link you referenced. My PLM was plugged in with a green light prior to power cycle of ISY. Attached are screen shots from MobiLinc X and ISY network info.

Can you connect to the ISY using the IoX Launcher, if so, verify the Firmware and UI versions.

Be sure to first delete your java cache including installed applications, then download the IoX Launcher

OH! You're meaning you can't connect via a 3rd party app. Sorry, you posted in the ISY Q&A. Figured you were trying to connect with IoX Launcher.

You might need to contact Mobilinc support for that issue.

You should try locally (as @Techman states) using IoX Launcher (formerly ISY Launcher) to make sure the ISY is actually online locally.

From there you can then hunt down the issue with not being able to connect to a 3rd party app. There's a Moblinic area in the forums that you could post in and possibly get help there or try Mobilinc's site for support.

@PapaBear if you power cycled your comcast modem and that is also your router, you may need to power cycle your UD device.  The IP address UD was using may not still be available, you may need to force it to get a new IP address.

In the future don't power cycle comcast when you update a UD device, it shouldn't be needed.
