For years I have used an ISY99i coupled with a Smarthome PLM (#2413s via Ethernet cable) to control my network of Insteon devices.

With the discontinued support for the ISY99i, I am prepared to upgrade to a new EISY; however, I am also installing new Schlage door hardware with Z-Wave technology and would like to be able to communicate with this door hardware as well. I am definitely a Z-Wave Newbie!

I have ordered a replacement USB PLM from Insteon for ease of integration, and I would appreciate suggestions on the specific Universal Devices hardware I should purchase along with the EISY to accomplish this (as well as any suggested Z-Wave reading material). Many thanks.

There are multitudes of recent and ongoing posts on here about schlage so I'm not going to get into that one.  On each channel sub forum (zwave and eisy), there are stickied posts that answer your questions. 1 is zwave tips and tricks and the other is curated answers for eisy which is right above your post.

I am using Schlage door lock with no issues using UD's new Zwave ZMatter dongle found here:

You need to follow best practices for adding ZWave devices (for example excluding before adding) and then it works fine.
