DualBandAid
I can see my EISY in the UD Mobile app. I can see my EISY in my.isy.io. Its got the green dot next to it. It is set as the preferred isy (UDID or whatever). But when I try to add devices, none appear in the pull down list. Thoughts? Link to comment
Geddy
@DualBandAid are you clicking on "Select Tool" then "Connectivity" then "Amazon Echo"? From there you should have a window that has this row of menu: Click on Device and there you should have this window: Are you saying this is where nothing shows in "my device"? Make sure you review the wiki for further assistance: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Amazon_Echo_Integration_V3#Instructions_for_Accessing_ISY_Portal 1 Link to comment
DualBandAid
“Are you saying this is where nothing shows in "my device"? Correct. I have actually been in ISY user in two households for over 10 years now. I moved out of my last place and started a whole new system from scratch with the EISY. I thought I was an expert. I guess not. Link to comment
Geddy
@DualBandAid I’m not sure why it wouldn’t populate if the device has approved the portal. Might need to open a support ticket for help. Check on the Admin Console on the Configuration tab that “Portals” is showing approved. Even though you say it has a green dot on the portal suggesting it is online. It might need to be reset. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets Link to comment
DualBandAid
I will do all that and report back. I'm actually not home and tried to access my EISY remotely (like I used to do with ISY). And now I'm wondering if: a) Did I ever set that up? b) If I didn't, would that explain things. I don't really recall ever doing this... Also, slightly separate bonus question - is there ANY way I can get away from using this JAVA interface? I see there are other options. But they don't have 100% of the Admin Console's functonality, do they? Link to comment

Remote access is either by port forwarding on a local router directly to the device (not very secure) or using the URL found in the UD Portal and using your portal credentials to log in (much more secure...please use a strong password!). To find the URL for the device in UD Portal go to the "Information" area in this screenshot and select "ISY Infomration" then use "Admin Console URL". If you have multiple devices in your Portal make sure you're picking your eisy. 47 minutes ago, DualBandAid said: is there ANY way I can get away from using this JAVA interface? Nope. That's all UDI has developed to run Admin Console. UD Mobile is being developed to be able to control most of what you can through Admin Console, but is a whole different issue (for many), and wouldn't be my primary preference for setting up complicated programs. 2 Link to comment
DualBandAid
Thank you! Those instructions did the trick! Just curious the difference between these two: The explanation didn't quite land for me. As for your other suggestion, this is what I see: Looks good, right? Yet no devices show up for me, Link to comment
DualBandAid
And just like that...it's working. I wonder if it was a browser issue. That's the only thing I can think that was different. 1 Link to comment

I jus know the Admin Console URL is what you need/use to access admin console. The other is used for different (more complicated "stuff") that I've never dealt with. I searched some old posts and found people sending commands to the ISY "back in the day" so not sure what that's really used for. Sorry. But glad it worked now for some reason. You might want to clear the other browser history and cache to see if that might help get things showing over there. Otherwise, maybe it's got some blocking add-on or something that wasn't allowing the information to load. Try that browser in a private/incognito window to see if the information loads.
