Devices and Scenes lumped together on Home screen

I recently switched from MobiLinc to UD Mobile, following a migration of my system from ISY-994i to eISY. Overall, UD Mobile is a huge improvement in functionality and reliability. However, I have noticed one significant inconvenience.

On the Home screen, the My Devices button opens a single list of all the Devices followed by all the Scenes. To reach the Scenes, I need to scroll through a long list of Devices. This is a nuisance for accessing a Scene that I haven't previously designated as a Favorite.

MobiLinc had separate buttons for accessing Devices and accessing Scenes. I don't see any way to do that in UD Mobile.

I thought to group Scenes into a Folder, then designate the Folder as a Favorite. Unfortunately, it seems that there is no way to designate an existing Folder as a Favorite; only individual Devices and Scenes can be designated as Favorites.

There IS a way to create a Favorite of type "Folder", but there doesn't seem to be a way to place more than one node in this Folder. Also, this Folder doesn't seem to correspond to anything I can see or manipulate in the ISY Admin Console, so this approach would be a maintenance headache as Scenes are added and removed. I don't understand the purpose of this feature, but it doesn't seem relevant to my need to access the list of Scenes directly.

Unless there's existing feature that I'm missing, I suggest that UD mobile should have (1) separate access to Devices and Scenes from the Home screen, and (2) a way to designate an existing Folder as a Favorite.

Here is the UD Mobile user guide:

Spend some time getting familiar with the many features. You can set up a Favorite's page, add different folders with different devices and/or programs in the folder.

You can display different status' and change color based on the status.

The folder structure on UD Mobile's Home Tab is the same as the Admin Console Folder structure.  If changes are made via the Admin Console UD Mobile must be synchronized for changes to show in app.   So, users can create seperate folders for Device and Scenes in the Admin Console (or from UD Mobile) then move all devices/scenes into these folders.  Moving many devices/scenes  may be faster/easier to accomplished from the Admin Console.

Favorites of type "Folders" allow a single Display Node but it is not required.  If you selected a Display Node then the top part of the Folder Tile may toggle the device/scene similar to adding a favorite of Type "Default", clicking the bottom half will open the folder.  If you do not select a Display Node (or delete the Display Node by clicking the Display Node section then selecting the trash icon at the top right) then clicking the Favorite of Type Folder will open the folder.  To add items into this new folder you can add the favorite from inside this folder (clicking the + button at the top) OR move the Favorite from the Main Favorites Page by clicking the edit button (pencil icon at top right) then click the Favorite you would like to move, then click Move To Folder.  Navigate to the folder then select Paste. Be sure to disable Edit Mode by clicking the pencil icon when finished editing favorites.

That is not what I am seeing. I have moved all the scenes into a Scenes folder. But the devices are already in a My Lighting folder. This is how it appears in Admin Console when the folders are collapsed:

That is approximately what I formerly saw in MobiLinc. But in UD Mobile, My Devices opens the entire list of devices, with the Scenes folder at the very end of the list (as if it were one of the devices). There doesn't appear to be a way to collapse the list of devices to replicate what I see in Admin Console.

("My Lighting" is something that was created automatically when I first set up my system over a decade ago. It has been migrated through three generations of ISYs.)

The Admin console root directory can be a bit confusing as "My Lighting" is not a "real" folder. In this case "My Lighting"  holds devices which have not been moved to a folder and are still in the root director.  Due to this not being a "real" folder UD Mobile displays these items at the root Devices and Scenes Directory.

To achieve what you are looking for create a new folder (named Devices?) then move all items from "My Lighting" into the new folder.  Synchronize UD Mobile and all devices will be inside the new folder.

One of the reasons UD Mobile does not create separate directories for Devices and Scenes is because Folders could also be used for locations (rooms) where both devices and scenes for a single location are grouped into a folder.  The Directory structure can be considered a user preference, so it is not modified by UD Mobile.
