I just tried to update packages to 5.7.1 from 5.7.0 and it dont work.

When i click on the upgrade button It asks if i want to upgrade and when i say yes, the box goes away and nothing happens.  waited 1 hr and never asked to reboot.  i rebooted and no update still at 5.7.0.  Am i doing something wrong, i followed the new directions on how to upgrade and it dont seem to work.

everything on this system is operating normally.  any help would be much appreciated.

Do you know how to ssh in to eisy?

If so, ssh in to eisy with the admin console open.

Enter the following in to the ssh window:

sudo tail -f /var/udx/logs/log

Then in the admin console click on upgrade packages under the configuration tab.

This time, watch the log displaying on the ssh screen to eisy.

Let us know what is displayed in the log.

When you rebooted did you just press the "reboot" button in admin console of have you attempted a reboot or shutdown by pressing the power button? In the past the reboot button in admin console didn't fully cycle the device and force everything to restart to complete an upgrade.

For that the system needed to be:

  • forced to reboot or shutdown (using multi-function button),
  • pull the power supply,
  • wait 20-30 seconds,
  • power back up,
  • wait 2-5 minutes for full boot to complete, then
  • get into admin console.
