Local PG3 configuration page served through portal?

Would it be (or is it) possible to serve the local pg3 configuration page through the portal? Specifically I'm looking for what's served at x.x.x.x:3000/nsdetails/<UUID> that I manage my pg3 on eisy at home.

The logical place would be on the PG3 menu on the portal. This functionality would parallel the remote access of iox remotely without opening firewall ports or needing a vpn.

I'll be traveling for periods and the chance exists i need upgrade, get a log file, etc.

Hi Paul,

This would require major changes.

We are currently working on a new eisy/PG4. New features to PG3 will be limited to bug fixing and small enhancements.

For remote access to PG3, you can use UD Mobile. Click on Admin | Plugins.

@paulbates completely different way of solving the issue..... but I use a vpn (wireguard) to get back to my home network from my mac.  Tried a vpn with my main router, an Orbi, with clunky success.  So instead dropped a cheap wireguard compatible router on my main Orbi and it works like a dream.  Can bring up anything an ssh into my servers.  I use a SlateAX from GLi net.   I actually also travel with a GL-MT3000 as it puts up a much nicer and more secure wifi than hotel based.  Just some thoughts, on a cheap way forward.

@sjenkins Even better, maybe UDI can figure out a way to get tailscale (wireguard) working as a Nodeserver on their device.

It's zero config, so no key management, no port forwarding.  It's piece of cake to install and basically a login to get it going.

I use it with HomeAssistant (addon) for remote access to manage my Insteon system in Scottsdale a 1000 miles from here.

Saves buying Nabu Casa for cloud access.

It can operate as an exit node to allow access to other devices as well.

Thanks, I'm probably heading back that way.

Right now there is a W10 PC in the house that is getting a bit Swiss-army-knifed including "jump box" functions. Older but more than enough power (8) +2ghz cores and 24GB ram.. I use realvpn secure to access it from my ipad but need to start thinking about something else as the multiple uses sometimes bang into each other.

I have the Merlin FW for my Asus router and it serves wireguard and open vpn directly, with more than enough horsepower: (4) 1.8ghz cores and 1GB ram and stability for my use cases. I consider Asus/Merlin to be the "ISY of routers".. Meaning It's a solid design, overpowered and just works. There's a lot of "plugins" / optional software for it and an active community writing things and supporting it.

On my previous asus router I configured its open VPN server and used that for my travel job prior to retiring. My hesitation now is that I used DYNDNS to find my home's IP, and the router log showed that after doing so, it attracted a lot of attention to "things" trying to probe my network. Maybe I should see how security has changed in 5 years.
