Emporia EV Charger with Load Management

Featured Replies

Hello,

In the Plug In description it says "...Vue Electric Vehicle chargers. Allows you to monitor usage and control outlets and chargers."

Is there any documentation around controlling chargers? I am acquiring the EV Charger with Load Management, and would like to understand what the plug in will allow me to do.

Thank you,

Rob Ralston

@RRalstonI'm not aware of any documentation did you look on the plugin's Github site? I have the vehicle charger and I'm able to start and stop the charger and set the rate it charges at. You can control all of that in programs or manually. I use it to have my own charge on solar programs so it starts charging when there is enough solar, adjust the rate of charge to only use solar to charge the vehicle and stops charging when the solar is to low.

Thanks for that info @tazman. There is no documentation at github.

I guess when I add the charger to the system I will see more nodes and capabilities available. Sounds like I will have flexibility.

Thanks again.

Rob

I'm using this with an Emporia EV charger, I have a couple of programs that inform me when vehicle charging starts, when it ends and how many kWh were consumed.

Thanks to both of you for your experience. I hope to have the charger in a couple of weeks and will give it a shot.
