New to Google Home: looking for a "momentary" type catagory

Featured Replies

Garage door has been setup to open/close on a contact for years and I have a position sensor on the door. Both are wired to my Elk control module which is connected to eisy via polyglot integration. Using a program on the eisy, I have both the sides of the IF/THEN/ELSE closing the contact for a couple of seconds. Pretty basic but it works.

In GH, I have a device setup so I can say "Hey, Google... [open/close] the garage door" and this works. Obviously, both commands do the same thing, toggling the door. The problem is that GH seems to remember the state as open or closed but it's state can become out of sync with reality

Is there a better way to do this??? Maybe Google Home can track the state of the door??? Is there a device category that is just a momentary push button???
