62vetteefp Posted December 14 Posted December 14 (edited) Noticed that one of my switches did not work with fast off and on. Tried another switch controlling other lights and also did not work. Reset the switch and still did not work. Setup a new fast off scene on a different switch and it did not work. Restore the device in the ISY software and it did not work. Ran tools-diagnostics-show device links table Have not revised anything recently in the system Can anyone see an issue from this? What next? Edited December 14 by 62vetteefp Quote
paulbates Posted December 14 Posted December 14 How old is your PLM. There'll be a sticker with 4 digits on the back that can be decoded here if you don't know. Try unplugging and replugging the PLM and retesting... If things start working it will mean the PLM is starting to die. Also, can you post an image of the PLM links table; how many links are in it and how many devices do you have? Quote
paulbates Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Also, try a "restore device" on the one example you gave and retest. Quote

I did a restore on the switch in the program. Did not correct the issue. Edited December 14 by 62vetteefp Quote
paulbates Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Ok, pressing and holding for 5 seconds factory reset the switch, wiping out its link table. You need to go into the admin console, pick the device and "restore device" Quote

Techman Posted December 14 Posted December 14 @62vetteefp The problem is not with your PLM or your ISY Your firmware and UI must be the same version. Your screenshot shows your firmware at 4.9.0 and your UI at 4.7.3. You need to clear your java cache, be sure to check all three boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here. This will update your UI to 4.9.0 https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp 1 Quote

paulbates Posted December 14 Posted December 14 A PLM with only 2 links is a broken PLM, there should be at least dozens of links. 1622 means week 22 of 2016, a period when PLMs had the bad capacitor issue. I don't disagree with @Techman on aligning FW/UI versions, but your PLM is on borrowed time. 3 Quote

Techman Posted December 14 Posted December 14 I agree with @paulbates, guess I missed your screenshot of the PLM. @62vetteefp Have you tried a restore PLM Quote

Is this a PLM restore? Still does not work. Quote
paulbates Posted December 14 Posted December 14 No. Restore PLM will be on the file menu. If it does help, it will be temporary. Quote

Techman Posted December 14 Posted December 14 One last thing to try - remove power from the PLM and the ISY. Wait about 30 seconds then power up the PLM, wait about 15 seconds then power up the ISY Quote
lilyoyo1 Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Make sure isy is powered off and the new PLM is plugged into the correct port on the isy. Then power up isy. Once logged in, choose restore plm> restore devices Quote
Brian H Posted December 15 Posted December 15 Your PLM information. Indicates it is fairly old. Also with only two links. I would suspect the PLM is failing. As two links is way to low. Quote
