@johnstonf not that I think it's related, but does look like Google had an issue with their system over the last few days.

https://www.androidpolice.com/google-home-devices-are-losing-it-right-now/

Apparently a "fix" has been released. While it's somewhat unlikely, there could be an overlap with the Google system having issues and what happened on the UD Portal side. It's even more possible that something in the fix could have further broken the UD connection.

Did you ever attempt to "unlink" the connection then re-link it?

Did "Universal Devices" end up being listed as Linked in the Home app?

Yes, it appeared to sign in correctly and show "linked".

All my google assistant devices show "offline". When I go to google home settings and look at plays with google, UDI is not listed. Adding UDI and logging in  takes me to a page of devices that I am supposed to assign to a room... but they all show correct assignments already. Closing that screen results in no changes. If I try to re-assign devices... no changes.

I can log in to the ISY portal, all there seems good.

Update:

removed portal access... then deleted the device from the isy portal. Added it in again, and then added portal access. Now working, although I have to re-enter all the spokens.

Thank you for thinking of me!  I agree, but I have no idea how to unlink it if I can't see it under the linked devices.  I had a similar problem with dark wind with some outdoor switches, and I ended up being able to resolve it on my wife's iPad but this time I tried it on the iPad too, and it absolutely doesn't show on there after it says linked either.  And when I link it (as can be  seen in the screenflow video that I attached above), I am using my main email account.

JUST TO BE SURE, I just did it again on ipad, still no love.

I wish I was just playing with this stuff, but I do have a disability and to count on it for being able to call for help using the Google devices, I really do miss it!  Good thing is, it was working so great!

@bmercier 7 days off, and no more replies?  My system was working great... after UDI mess-up, now... no Google connection.  Hey, You Broke, Can you PLEASE FIX?  You can see video above where it shows me linking, it APPEARS to link, but it doesn't really and doesn't appear in the Linked Devices.

@johnstonf, I'm sorry that you are still experiencing issues with the Google smart home integration.

I don't know why it would not show as Linked after Linking. That would be a question to ask Google support. This kind of trouble can happen when using multiple Google accounts, so perhaps it used to be linked with a different google user id than what you are using now? That's the only thing that comes to mind.

If that can help, there has been no changes to the Google integration in a long time. The only thing that the outage caused is that Google could not refresh the access tokens if it happened to be due for refresh during that period.

If the google smart home integration does not show as Linked after linking, there is not much we can do to fix it.

But that just doesn't make sense!  Something you did caused a lot of devices to unlink, and needed re-link.  Mine was working fine, and had never been on another account!

BTW... Google is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with... they were putting advertising charges on my visa fraudulently, and MY bank finally had to reverse the charges, and WAIT to see if Google would complain about it... Like WTF... Google has priority over the bank!  I've tried to contact them several times, filled out forms etc... they get away with murder!

So i have an impossible journey trying to get them to see this as important enough to give a crap about!

Why would you say that?
As I explained, this was cause. Google could not refresh the access token during the outage. The refresh token Google has is no longer valid, so you have to re-link.

Nothing else changed.

BUT... when I re-link on iPad, Google fully 2x says "SUCCESFUL", so... from Googles perspective, they are happy, have done their job!  They wouldn't give 2 levels of success if not true.

Then I have no clue why Google would not show it as Linked. That's not something we can control.

Well I'm sure you are dying to know, so how about you contact Google, and then call me and we all get on a three-way and get this figured out?

@johnstonf Even though it does not show as Linked, it probably is.

Can you check if you can see the status of devices and control them?

Could you create one more spoken and click "Send To Google"?

One more thing to try, I would suggest to Delete your Home and create a new one.
Go to Settings | Delete this Home

Something needs to be cleared in your account.

I just came to report in, that I think we were successful! I have hacked at it so many different ways. I'm not sure exactly, but I believe after I deleted my Home, it still wasn't able to connect properly, and then I remembered reading about rebooting the ISY, so I gave it a yet another boot and presto I THINK I THINK I THINK... I'LL REPORT BACK TOMORROW BUT I THINK WE'VE GOT!  UDI is now LISTED in the linked devices!
