Previously I had a house with an ISY 994 and did my programming about 15 years ago.  Today I have a new home with Eisy.  I am attempting to install Insteon dimmers via the Eisy admin panel.

I can't set the on level.  Is there documentation that will help guide me as the new admin/control panel has a different appearance.

Choose the On level you want from the list, then click on the "On Level" button to the left of the list. It's not obvious but that is a button, not just a label for the field.

Thank you.  What you described is a perfect example of one of the differences in the Admin/Control Panel screen.

Is there a "cookbook" (or other resource) for the Eisy that would explain the other differences.

For example, the screen is different for Scenes.

Thanks

Like with most software products, documentation is often behind in relation to the features. With the announcement that an entirely new admin console is in the works, I don't think much time will be spent updating the documentation of the current one.

@flsenior, When upgrading to the Eisy, many scenes and on levels didn't transfer properly.  It is sort of a three step process, that has some goofy options and doesn't work the way I might expect.

1. You can set the on level for the device on the Device window directly.  Once you select the level i.e. 60% you must then press the "On Level" button next to the level to set it. Otherwise it remains where it was.   Now if you simply send "on" from a scene that level is what happens.

Or you can set the level within the scene.

2. You can set the on level in the scene.
     a. Select the Scene
     b. Select the device within the scene
     c. Select the "on level" % in the drop down
     d. Press the "Update" button just to the left
     e. Select the Scene again and verify your selected on level appears in the scene line above.

I prefer to set the On Level and Scene level separately, so each scene can have a mood.  My default for all lights is 80%, and then each scene set appropriately.

The UD wiki will be the best spot for "documentation", but like others say it might not be exactly current or what you're looking for. It's more or less looking for what was in the old cookbook, but things might be in different spots now. The biggest issue I've run into over the years was going from 4.x to 5.x with how scenes were changed a good bit and the "copy to scene" option was removed. That's due to the inclusion of Z-Wave in the 5.x firmware going back to the ISY994 years.

Most of the old ISY Cookbook still applies to how ISY/IoX handles things.
