aLf Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Just installed an InlineLinc. Have it controlled by a SWL. I have the SWL set as CONTROLLER, the INL as RESPONDER. Works as advertised until I turn the SWL off from within ISY. The SWL goes off but the INL stays on! Is that normal, or did I do something wrong? Also added the new INL to a scene controlled by a RML button. Added it and all seemed well. BUT! an unrelated button to that which controls a SWL and KPL button will not trigger the scene when clicked (light stays off). If I press and hold the RML button the light will slowly turn on. What have I done wrong here? Thanks, aLf
Michel Kohanim Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Hello aLf, The first issue is normal: you can only control scenes by clicking on the scene itself and then choosing on/off etc. I am not sure I understand the second issue. Would you clarify please? With kind regards, Michel
Sub-Routine Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Hi aLf, For the RemoteLinc please see the Wiki: ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Link_Management_Menu#RemoteLinc_FAQs. Rand

What have I done wrong here?" I never use the RML often. I thought it was working right before. As you know there are six buttons. My "B" button controls kitchen lights only (SWL). Simple On or Off. Right now if you click the button, nothing happens. If I hold the button it will fade on. Again if I click (or double click) nothing will happen. Hold the button to Off and it will fade to off. All other buttons control various SWL's or Scenes. They all work as they should. Hope that helps. Tim
Michel Kohanim Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Hi Tim, Got it. I think Rand has provided you with the link which is very important when you are linking RLs. In short, when you want to get out of programming mode, you should NOT click any of the 1 through 6 buttons otherwise that specific button will no longer send on! I think that's what you are experiencing! Unfortunately, restore will not fix this issue. You will have to remove the RL from ISY, do a factory reset on it and then add it back to your scenes (you might want to try factory reset/restore combination just to make sure it won't work). With kind regards, Michel
