How I Create My Own Custom Icons for UD Mobile

I have found that MS One Drive works for icons on UD Mobile.  I hope this is stable over time.

Save your photo that you want to use as an icon to one drive.  It can be full color or whatever but since the icons or so small, nothing detailed or it will just be lost.

Open the image in one drive, right click on it and "Copy URL".

Plug that URL into UD mobile custom URL.

I've created two icons (open and closed garage door) and I've accessed them as URLs on a local PC, which works fine...unless I'm away from home. A remotely accessible URL like yours is certainly better. What I'd really like is to be able to import the icons into UD Mobile, as local files on my phone. Alternately, is there such a thing as a web server app that we can install on a phone (android)? I see several listed, but I'd like to know about any recommended, known safe ones.

It would be nice if there were just a folder on the phone that you can point UD mobile to retrieve an icon from.  With the url over the internet, there is a delay. @Javi

OK, found a new site, this one I think will work forever, cuase it says it will, but we will see.

https://postimages.org/

use what they call the "direct link".

Hah, another case for keeping things local!

Yeah, but then it will only work on your lan, or you need to open a port or run a vpn back to your house from your phone at all times.

The postimages.org website is one that I remember now having used many years ago and if I recall it did exactly what it was supposed to do.
