andrew77 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Sorry for the vague title. I have a very simple scene where a SWL and a button on the mini remote control the SWL. When pressed, the mini remote controls the device as expected but it also shuts off my office downstairs (button A on a KPL) I've included screen grabs to the remote's button and the KPL button's Membership. I'm unclear what to do next Quote
andrew77 Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Just wanted to add that another device (a SWL upstairs) also shuts off when I click the remote button. The devices don't turn back on when I repeat click but the intended device works as it should. Both devices that are affected (and shouldn't be) don't show any percentage or on/off change in the EISY GUI (apologizes for the spamming, just want to get all the info I have typed out here.) Quote
mmb Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Sorry but your post is a little confusing. Here's my mini remote. Mini Remote button A points to a Scene and the Scene includes the device to be controlled. Does that help? Quote
Techman Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago @andrew77 It's possible that when you installed the remote you may have had an additional device in the linking mode at the same time wihich would have crossed linked the devices. You also have a lot of pending writes that need to be resolved. If they include your remote then put the remote into the liniking mode and write the pending links. Quote

I've resolved all writes and the problem seems to persist. As an aside, I programmed the B button on the remote and the GUI says the device is changing but the device doesn't react either. Should I delete the remote from my EISY and rediscover it? Quote
Techman Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Probably best to delete the remote, factory reset it, then re-link it. Whrn you want to add the remote to a scene you need to first put it in the linking mode. Edited 5 hours ago by Techman Quote

andrew77 Posted 7 hours ago Author Posted 7 hours ago I cleared and factory reset the remote. I just added it back in to the EISY and it still behaves the same as before. What's the next step? Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Do you have programs that look for status changes in your light switches? Quote

Solution paulbates Posted 6 hours ago Solution Posted 6 hours ago (edited) It's the switch that's responding inappropriately, so an unwanted link to repsond to the remote is likely there. Factory reset the switch and perform a restore device Edited 6 hours ago by paulbates Quote

In the program list screen, right click on "My Programs" and click on "Find/Replace". You'll get a screen like this: In the second line (where I have Lab dimmer), choose the light that is turning on when it shouldn't, and then click on "Find". You will see the programs, if any, where that light is referenced. Quote

Factory reset the switch and perform a restore device Hi Paul, Thanks, this worked. I factory reset both affected devices and its all good. 2 Quote
