Polyglot MIA on EISY

Recommended Posts

Hello: I have an EISY but have not done the latest massive upgrade just yet. My Polyglot installation seems to have disappeared, and 4 plugins that I am using no longer work. I get "Connection Refused" when I try to launch the PG3 webservice from the EISY.

I've power cycled twice - the last time for 15 minutes. Polyglot still not available.

HELP!

@JimTurner more than likely your best bet is to open a support ticket with UD and get help directly from them.

https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets

You've done the usual troubleshooting of power cycle. However, how did you perform this power cycle? If you accidently triggered an update run and then pulled the power it's possible that the update was corrupted and the eisy is not coming back up as expected. But, if you're able to access the admin control portion it might be working as expected for that portion.

When you're local to the device try these two URLs: (if you get a privacy warning it's fine to proceed...click advanced and proceed to site)

https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/pkg.upgrade.htm   - Just wanting to see if this loads. It might say no updates needed, but if it says updates are pending/needed then certainly open a support ticket.

https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt - What is the IoX version and when was it installed? Also, what's the PG3x version and when was it installed?

Rather than attempting random SSH commands UD has asked anybody with issues similar to this or related to the update process to open support tickets for direct help. They don't want other issues from random commands being run that would make it more difficult to diagnose and resolve.

Please post back how this is resolved. Good luck.

So, I had 2 issues - the second one was self induced trying to solve the first. My PG3 was totally MIA, and in attempting to do a simple reboot, I started the upgrade unknowingly, and then the entire EISY was MIA from my network. ugh.

Submitted a ticket and Michel assisted in getting me network access. I attached a monitor, keyboard and mouse directly to the EISY to do this. Once network connectivity was restored I was able to SSH into it. Lastly, Michel did a screen share and cleaned up the mess. Amongst other things, looks like I had logs that chewed up storage - not sure, as Michel was moving very fast.

EISY is up, Zwave is up, PG3 is up, and all good.
