yo88 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I've searched and still can't figure out how to have my outdoor temperature sensor send me an email, or iOS notification, at the same time each day with the current temperature and humidity. I'd like the email to tell me the temperature and not just whether an alarm has been triggered. It would be nice to get the temperature reading pushed each morning when I wake up. Is this possible? Thanks. Quote
drprm1 Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) Make a variable to represent the temperature. Make a program to make the variable equal your temperature sensor’s temperature updating every x minutes. Make a program to send an email each day specifying your outdoor temperature sensor’s reading using a substitution variable https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-994i_Series:EMail_and_Networking_Substitution_Variables Edited June 3 by drprm1 Quote
Solution Panda88 Posted June 3 Solution Posted June 3 (edited) You can reference the node variables directly in an email - like this You can find the names in the node definition in the node server e.g. just copy (press the copy icon) the relevant one - in your case CLITEMP you can then make an email (like above) with the desired info and have a program send it to you at a given time Edited June 4 by Panda88 remove extra figure 1 Quote
drprm1 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Didn’t realize this question was in Yolink group. Never thought to use the node variable from the node server… Thanks! Quote
yo88 Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 Thanks for the suggestions. They are outside of my capabilities, but maybe ChatGPT can help. I'm hoping the Yolink app adds this eventually. Quote
Geddy Posted June 3 Posted June 3 @yo88 Welcome to the UD Forums. Are you using an ISY/IoX device (eisy, Polisy, or ISY994) or just finding this forum in a search for YoLink? Quote
yo88 Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 searched for Yolink - have no idea about the other devices - is there a better place to find information? thanks Quote
Panda88 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 There is a slack channel where people are helpful I think you can achieve what you want using the automations in the Yolink app 1 Quote
