MARK R Posted Thursday at 11:21 AM Posted Thursday at 11:21 AM Good Morning All, Just a quick question on the z wave menu options, What is the meaning of the "DETECT BUTTON PRESS" and should it be on or off? and also is there any documents out there that explains all the Administrator Console dropdowns and such? thanks Mark Quote
tazman Posted Thursday at 12:28 PM Posted Thursday at 12:28 PM My understanding is it is a compatibility mode and you can use it if your item is not showing a state change when it is switched on or off. Quote
MARK R Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Author Posted Thursday at 01:38 PM Thanks for the input, but the menu item I'm talking about is at the TOP of the console under ZWAVE. When i open a z wave device and right click, there is nothing about DETECT BUTTON PRESS, I was thinking it had something to do with the Z wave device wake button.. just a thought. Quote

The wiki has some old menu information - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-994i_INSTEON:User_Guide Z-wave specific looks a little old (maybe outdated), but would be the first place I'd look - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY_Users:V5:ZWave:User_Guide This one might help with the button press option - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY_Users:V5:ZWave:Advanced_User_Guide:NodeMenu I don't have many z-wave devices (and none with buttons) so haven't dug this far in the past.
