awysocki Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I noticed that eISY was updated for a new interface. So I java admin into my machine and clicked on update/upgrade Left the system overnight to do it thing. I know sometimes it can take a few minutes. The next day there was a message on the java admin page that a reboot was needed. To go to system and click on reboot. I did and now its dead. Nothing loads up and I can't get any of my ISY screens to show up. The only good news is that the system does connect to the network and I can ssh in. But I'm lost as to where to look or what to check as to why the system isn't loading. Any logs I should start in on? Thanks Quote
Techman Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Quote
awysocki Posted September 26 Author Posted September 26 I don't think its my Java cache because my.isy.io also says its down. since the reboot. Right now, Java start.jnlp can't connect, My UD Mobile can not see it. https://my.isy.io says its off line. I've rebooted the eISY a few times now, wait 20 minutes and still its off line. So trying to dig deeper to look at the unix logs to see what isn't running or what is crashing? Quote
Solution Geddy Posted September 26 Solution Posted September 26 @awysocki when you're rebooting how are you achieving this? I would suggest you open a support ticket with UD. I know they're working on updates to the eisy-UI and other updates in the system so it might be best not to randomly try things, but to get UD on a ticket with this so they can see/verify the logs and see what happened to help them troubleshoot the release so more people don't have issues. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets You've got a few things working against you in that the java admin console window isn't designed to be up 24/7 so just leaving it up all night if the computer went into hibernation or sleep state it could have been an issue and even though you had a message didn't properly reboot the eisy. Not sure what's happening in the reboot you've been doing now, but if you have it connected locally then it should be mostly coming up. I would think UD would have the best indication as to what needs to happen to get it fully operational again. Quote
