StangManD Posted Thursday at 09:06 PM Posted Thursday at 09:06 PM (edited) I setup the HA VM a long time ago when the tutorial was posted with the instructions and it's been up and running solid on top of my Eisy since. As I realize it's completely redundant for the most part, there were things about it I liked and had integrated like Home Kit and some other things but now it seems after the 6.0.0 upgrade, it's just gone. I've opened a ticket, but I guess maybe I'm just late to the party here... is this to be expected on an upgrade? I know it was a "major OS version upgrade" but I didn't expect it to be wiped out. If it has been, I want to make sure any remnants of it that may be left are cleaned up before reinstalling. Seems like if I have to do that, I'd likely need to set back up from scratch, not sure one of my HA backups would even work. Have others run into this and is this to be expected? tazman Posted yesterday at 12:11 AM Posted yesterday at 12:11 AM Your Homeassistant should still be there! I had to add the information in /etc/rc.con to start the vm again vm_dir="zfs:storage/vms" vm_enable="YES" vm_dir="zfs:storage/vms" vm_list="homeassistant" This might not be all the same information for you depending on how you did the install back then. 1 Quote

Fortunately all the correct info was in the install_ha.sh script that was still in my home directory when I SSH'd in. Quote
gdavis Posted yesterday at 04:31 PM Posted yesterday at 04:31 PM Same here but I had to add the following to /etc/rc.conf iconfig_re0="DHCP" vm_enable="YES" vm_dir="zfs:storage/vms" vm_list="homeassistant" 1 Quote
carealtor Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Kudos to those of you who were braver than me. When this functionality was first talked about awhile back, I was all excited and planning on also moving my Home Assistant to my eISY. Ultimately I chickened out and bought another Quieter Mini PC instead to install Home Assistant. Issues like the one in this post were exactly my fear and why I chickened out. Quote
