Posted Monday at 06:01 PM1 day In August of this year I had an apparent power surge that took out my modem, router and the Insteon Serial Modem (2413S). This is a vacation home. I have replaced the modem and router provided by Optimum, my ISP. I have now installed a new 2413S. The alias for this location and its UUID appear in the Launcher but clicking on the URL results in the message loX Finder : Not Found. Neither the URL or the UUID appear for the primary residence, Chesapeake. According to the instructions I have, my next step for Wolf Creek is to log into the Admin Console and select the option to Restore Modem. That is where I am now. I cannot log into the Admin Console because I have no URL Help will be appreciated otherwise I am ging to have to abandon Wolf Creek. I must leave this location in a few days.I have spent days and days on this and problems at Chesapeake. I consider your expert help vital. Thanks.MacSequoiaAll Insteon DevicesFirmware 4.9
Monday at 06:17 PM1 day If you're not able to access your controller then the problem isn't with the modem. It's either a controller, an Iox Launcher, or a router issue. What controller are you using and what's its firmware version?A few things to try:Clear your java cache and download the IoX Launcher from here:https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlpReboot your controller
Monday at 07:10 PM1 day Author I went back to a forkmer post by Mercier. downloaded Chrome. then went to System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network. There I did not find Google Chrome or loX Launcher to select as in the example.
Monday at 08:05 PM1 day First things first: can you see the controller in your router's device table, with an IP address? It should be easy to spot, since the UUID is the network card's MAC address. Was your replacement router configured for DHCP, like your old one?Seeing the device listed in IoX finder doesn't mean it's necessarily seeing the controller. Monday at 09:26 PM1 day Author Sorry, but I am essentially computer illiterate at 80+ years of age. One would think this would be an easy fix. I tried to research the subject of accessing my router and found two addresses that were supposed to permit me to access my bundled router but no soap. I hate to consider abandoning this site but weeks of work have produced almost nothing.
Monday at 09:48 PM1 day @smokegrubAre you on a Windows or a MAC computer, what version is your computers firmware?Did you clear your java cache and download a new version of the IoX Launcher? When you replaced your modem did you follow the "Replace PLM" procedure?Have you rebooted your ISY? Monday at 09:54 PM1 day Well ok...could you try opening a command prompt on your computer and then try pinging the ip address that you see in IoX finder? EgC:\> ping 192.168.0.78.

Yesterday at 12:29 AM1 day Author Further research shows the only light displaying on my isy is the power light. A chech of the of the power supply showed a broken housing. Anyone know where I can get a replacement, including the cable and plug and what I need to ask for. Quick delivery such as Amazon would enable me to get the repair done while we are at tthis location. Thanks.
