my ntp.pool.org server was not updateing my time so I read some posts that indicated I needed to have the DNS the same as my router IP. I changed it and now cannot even connect to my isy, getting socket open failure even after clearing the java cache. Can you help me to solve both problems?

I can soemtimes get to the isy and all looks good for a while and then I ge a socket error. I have rebooted the ISY as when I change the DNS and Gateways (both now set to the router IP is that correct) it reboots each teim. I will ty rebooting the computer, but since it sometimes logs in I doubt that the problem

Cannot acces anymore with http://192.168.1.103/admin (ip is set as static http://192.168.1.103/) but can get to it with http://www.universal-devices.com/99i

I was in a similiar situation last night and this is what I did. First I unplugged all cables into the ISY and let it sit for about a minute. Then I plugged the cable that leads to my router into the ISY and then i plugged in the power cable. I didn't plug in the cable to the PLM. Then I was able to log into the ISY and then run the restore successfully.

Here is a link the basically describes the same procedure: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ocks_up.3F

the funny part is my wireless mobilinc program on the ipad can find it no problem, although a sync with it now says the password and user are "admin" and ther is no programs since I reset it (which is why I know that it is comminication fine) so I don't thinkthe issue is the isy is not working

JK:

Are you logging in via the 192 or the https: address?

Try logging in via the 192 address (as you probably are with MobiLinc). If you get in via that, do your updates and then get back to the forum as to your "INTERNET" settings. My guess is that something on the net side is mis-configured.

Do you have just the latest backup, or do you have the history of backups? Maybe try the second to last and see how that goes (last one corrupt?). I can't answer this, but are backups from previous version able to backup to the latest firmware? i.e., a backup from 2.7.5...... restored to 2.7.15.... (Michel)?
