Wednesday at 06:26 PM4 days I have a Polisy Pro with the latest firmware that I'd like to prep for possible resale or gifting. My instinct is to perform a factory reset before handing it off. However...No matter how many times I try, the Polisy Pro does not react to the "Multi Function Button" as described in the online user manual. I can hold the button in for minutes. Even just double-clicking the button to safely reboot the device does nothing (though I've had this work in the distant past). I also took the cover off to ensure I was truly pressing the button in . This did not work any better. Is their any other way (via SSH, perhaps?) to clean my Polisy Pro of my credentials so it is "safe" to hand off to a stranger?Thanks,-Randy

Wednesday at 07:10 PM4 days You can actually feel the resistance with button going in? If the Polisy is otherwise functional then it could be the button itself, though that would be unusual. I'd open it up and watch when you press the button to make sure that's what's you're pressing.

I'd open it up and watch when you press the button to make sure that's what's you're pressing.I can definitely feel it "click" when I depress it. And, as stated in my original post, I went so far as to take the cover off to ensure I was truly pressing the button in. This did not work any better.I agree with you that it seems like the button is busted since the Polisy is otherwise working perfectly. I was not confident enough to probe the circuit board to try to short the switch pins myself. So, I still wonder...Is their any other way (via SSH, perhaps?) to clean my Polisy Pro of my credentials so it is "safe" to hand off to a stranger?
Wednesday at 08:00 PM4 days You'd have to open a ticket with UDI to ask if there is a script you could run to reset it.
Wednesday at 08:08 PM4 days Solution If you're not familiar or comfortable in SSH reach out to UDI for support.Otherwise proceed at your own risk.....SSH into Polisy using your current admin password.ssh admin@<polisy-ip>Stop IoX and PG3sudo service isy stopsudo service pg3 stopRemove the entire IoX configuration (devices, programs, Z-Wave/Insteon data, certs, etc.)sudo rm -rf /usr/local/isyRemove all Polyglot / node server datasudo rm -rf /var/polyglotRemove portal credentials and association sudo rm -rf /var/polyglotReset network settings back to default DHCPsudo rm -f /etc/wpa_supplicant.confsudo rm -f /etc/network/interfacesReboot Polisysudo rebootAfter factory reset credentials will default to admin/admin Edited Wednesday at 08:16 PM4 days by Diesel
