Thursday at 09:59 PM3 days Hello folks , New to this Zmatter. I have been able to add it to my Eisy. Now Im nott sure what I'm looking at.!. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity? What does these setting all meanI did this simple program to test and it works. It different then the inteonthere is no dusk to dawn setting, or sensitivity setting or sensing time/period ANY HELP OR IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED THANK YOU
Thursday at 11:39 PM3 days You have pending writes to the device. Put the device in linking mode, then right click on the device in the device tree and click on write updates, all the green should go away once the links have written to the deviceYou can ignore the extra nodes if you're not using themThe sensitivity can be adjusted via options in the device window. Read the manual for the correct settings (see below). s Edited Thursday at 11:40 PM3 days by Techman
Friday at 12:01 AM3 days Author Im afraid you already lost me. I do see if I right click on the motion sensor I will see Zwave>
Friday at 12:54 AM3 days Try clicking on the other nodes associated with the motion sensor, one of them will show the write update option
Friday at 12:56 AM3 days danncasMy experience with Zwave has always been interesting and mostly successful. The instructions that are given are hard to read but all the information should be there. As Techman indicated, put the sensor in linking mode and all of those green 1011 arrows should go away. After you do that, look at the instructions that came with the device and start to experiment. After you introduce the parameters you query the device and they should take effect. I think that I may have had to manually put the device back in link mode for the parameters to take hold. Zwave devices all are supposed to adhere to a standard and I believe that I was able to get more useful online from Zooz , It is as always a GREAT IDEA to backup everything prior to making any new additions or changes. Zwave is worth the effort in my opinion. I started using it do deal intermittent instion issues, so far I am happy.Best of luck
Friday at 01:20 AM3 days Author I still dont Understand. Link NODE.? Insteon I get Link mode. Are you saying that I have go get the sensor and figure out how to put it manully in a link mood. And the term node. I konw what this means when I would progam a PLC, or a robots program. But not in a EISY Edited Friday at 01:44 AM3 days by danncas spelling
Friday at 01:27 AM3 days Zwave has a standardized method of setting options through parameters. There is a parameter number and a value. Your device documentation should have a listing of the individual features, and how to set them by choosing a parameter number and value. The Zwave alliance has a website that allows you to look up specifications, features and parameters for hundreds of devices. You can access it here:https://products.z-wavealliance.org/?_gl=1*1upc5b8*_ga*ODY1MzUxMTczLjE3ODkwODkxMjM.*_ga_EQLMJC35BT*czE3ODkwODkxMjMkbzEkZzEkdDE3ODkwODkyNTUkajQkbDAkaDA.You start by choosing a category, then a brand, etc. You'll get a full data sheet for the product. Scroll down to "Configuration Parameters" and see the parameter numbers and functions for that device. It can take a bit of searching to find what you're looking for. For example, for your case I started by searching the zooz brand, which lists 101 devices. Then find yours in the list, etc. Then click on "More information" to see the datasheet.
Friday at 01:37 AM3 days Author I have a list of the parameters, I gather I have to go get the Sensor and manuly click the button. I have a option on that but I wil lkeep it. LOLThen I upgade any of the parameters.. Is there a way of read the parameters setting that are already set?
Friday at 01:45 AM3 days 5 minutes ago, danncas said:. Is there a way of read the parameters setting that are already set?I don't think you can. There is no "get parameter" button. Query doesn't seem to do that either.
Friday at 01:59 AM3 days Author guy so when speaking of node Each one of these is a node Yes/ No. Im not a netwok programer. I programer PLC and robots in the past. Im old lol 72 Edited Friday at 02:07 AM3 days by danncas spelling
Friday at 12:12 PM2 days @danncas The sensor is running on batteries. You can tell this by the fact that there is a Wake Up device. In order to either read or write parameters, you will have to first wake up the sensor by pressing the zwave button once. The sensor will stay awake for a brief period, just long enough to read or write a parameter. You read a parmeter by right clicking on the Security Alarm device / Zwave / Set Configuration Parameter / Query. You write a parameter with the same interface, selecting Set instead of Query.
Friday at 03:16 PM2 days Author thanks my question is Motion Sensor right click has parameters Powe alarm has Parameters Which on to you use
Friday at 03:51 PM2 days You can use either, push the set button on the sensor, its led wil be blinking, then in your device tree right click on the device and click on Write UpdatesWhat is the model number of your sensor?
Friday at 06:46 PM2 days Solution Attached is the ZSE70 manual. The default values are under Advanced Settings. If they work for you then you don't have to change any of the options. Were you able to write the update to the sensor? Zooz-ZSE70-800lr-manual.pdf
Saturday at 02:01 AM2 days Author Im not sure. Im going to do a factory reset tomarrow . It seem to work earlier . But tonight it shows on and never shows off. I sent you a DMIf tied it directly to a insteon light it will work as long as it see motion. But It will also turn the light on doing the day. So I wanted to have it work with the same type problem I had befor on an insteon.
15 hours ago15 hr Author Here you go Techman It a should be simple. The second picture is how it looked before I reset the sendsor to factory setting. The last picture is how it looks now, but it soon or later will go back to what you see in thr 2nd picture . I apprecite all your help working with me. Edited 15 hours ago15 hr by danncas
12 hours ago12 hr Move the line in the ELSE clause to the THEN clause. Edited 12 hours ago12 hr by Techman
11 hours ago11 hr Author It didnt work either . The sensor send an on code. I cant tell if it send an off code. You cant read the parmeters that it is factory coded to. I have no way of reading and bit transfers in this programing either. So in this program if it see On it more to the next step and then the next, EVEN if the sensor still on beacuse of movement. It would of been so much easier if it had a dusk to dawn like the old sensor did. I would not have to program. Ideaa??? The now way of having a While statement Edited 11 hours ago11 hr by danncas
10 hours ago10 hr If the motion sensor times out before 1 minute, 1 second then the THEN clause will stop before it can turn off the light.Change the timing to 10 seconds and see if it turns off the light Edited 10 hours ago10 hr by Techman

But the progam will sill turn of the light even if there is motion. Thats the whole problem. I want to the light to staay on as long as the motion is TRUE.
9 hours ago9 hr Change the program to this:IFZY 005 Motion sensor STATUS is ONTHENSet Dining Room / dining room curio ONELSESet Dining Room / dining room curio OFF
9 hours ago9 hr Author Thchman I did some experimenting after I did another factory reset. I found out that after it goes to the OFF status after no motion it takes 30second before it changes the true output. So It seem I got it to woork now so far in my test . I put a time frame in where it will only work and the told it to turn on the light if it sees motion. So I test the it and it stay off even when it say me. Sofar so good . Im going to try the sunset to sun raise tonight. Fingure crossed thanks again
