We just purchased a home with ISY and UD, this is a large amount of information for me to understand, we had a garage motion detector battery die and i replaced it, with no look with it connecting t the network. I tried "link management" "Link Sensor" "Motion sensor II"

I selected "add devices found in links and keep existing links" typed in the same numbers from previous and no dice. the funny thing is when i do that and press beep it beeps. it is so weird.

It sounds like you need to wake the motion detector up and then query it at the IOX. Another issue that I have had is that if it is a model with a 9 v battery, the connector may require re-tensioning. The connectors get bent out of shape when the battery is removed. I have replaced the batteries in all of my instion motion detectors with external power supplies because I got tired of the battery issues. I have had better luck with ZOOZ motion detectors, their batteries seem to last a long time.
