September 20Sep 20 Due to my Trane thermostat failing, I added another Venstar T7850. This makes 2. Much to my surprise (and disappointment), this app only only supports 1 thermostat. Can you add another instance for the second one, or am I just out of luck?
September 20Sep 20 It supports multiple thermostats. I have 3. I put their IP addresses in config separated by semicolons. Edited September 20Sep 20 by hart2hart
October 18Oct 18 Author I still can't get this app to see my new thermostat. I have the IP address typed in as the second entry (my first venstar works fine). the second one, not so much. Polygot shows 2 nodes, but it never shows up in the list of devices in the administrative console. Is there another step I am missing? I stopped, started, restarted, and rebooted. it still does not show up in my list of thermostats. once again, the first one shows up fine.
October 18Oct 18 I have found that doing a discover worked best in adding my thermostat especially after migrating the NS to eisy-ui.
October 19Oct 19 Author I have tried it with hostname and ip addresses. it still will not see my latest thermostat. It does now show 4 nodes, but the same thermostat shows up twice. with different names. and different ID numbers.Once it shows up in polygot, do I have to do anything to get it to show up in the admin console?
October 19Oct 19 I don’t know if it makes a difference but in the Key, I have “hostname” and you have “IP addresses(es)”
October 20Oct 20 Are those static or DHCP assigned IP addresses? If DHCP are they in your router as assigned to their MAC addresses? Do you get a response if you ping 192.168.1.200? Edited October 20Oct 20 by hart2hart
October 23Oct 23 Author Yes, they are static IP's and the api is turned on.I can query it with: http://192.168.1.100/query/runtimesand other commands and it answers fine. both thermostats have the same firmware also.I'm lost!
Yesterday at 02:04 AM1 day Author Thank you to those who tried to help, It still does not work, but I certainly appreciate the help!HOWEVER, the original topic still remains. THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR THIS APP BESIDES THE NICE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO HELP. IT APPARENTLY HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE 2022 AND DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK WITH NEWER THERMOSTATS.PLEASE BEWARE BEFORE YOU BUY.
Yesterday at 03:16 AM1 day Author Both of my thermostats have 6.93. It says that is the latest.Even though they have the same firmware, one of them (the one that works) has been working for 2 years. The new one will not sync up.I verified the API is on.I can ping it and get info from it.New non-working one:{"api_ver":9,"type":"residential","model":"COLORTOUCH","firmware":"6.93"}{"name":"MBR","mode":1,"state":0,"fan":0,"fanstate":0,"tempunits":0,"schedule":1,"schedulepart":3,"away":0,"spacetemp":72.0,"heattemp":68.0,"cooltemp":70.0,"cooltempmin":35.0,"cooltempmax":99.0,"heattempmin":35.0,"heattempmax":99.0,"activestage":0,"setpointdelta":2.0,"availablemodes":0}Older working one: {"api_ver":9,"type":"residential","model":"COLORTOUCH","firmware":"6.93"}{"name":"DEN","mode":3,"state":0,"fan":0,"fanstate":0,"tempunits":0,"schedule":1,"schedulepart":3,"away":0,"spacetemp":70.0,"heattemp":61.0,"cooltemp":82.0,"cooltempmin":35.0,"cooltempmax":99.0,"heattempmin":35.0,"heattempmax":99.0,"activestage":0,"setpointdelta":2.0,"availablemodes":0}
