Yesterday at 08:31 PM1 day What is happening with the various backups?PG3x plugins have their own backup section. I don't see any backup section under the Eisy-UI plugin section. Backing up the entire Eisy UI shows me this.Where exactly do the EisyUI plugins get backed up? It looks like not here based on the red x. And by data files, do you mean just the configuration or the entire plugins. Where do local plugins in my development section fall? If I need to restore the entire eisy, will it put all my plugins back into the correct slots with all the configurations? And what exactly is getting backed up in the old developer section when I do a backup? For some reason levolor is listed as a local install here, but it also shows up in the new eisy plugin section, which is where it is currently running from. Perhaps I did a local install here and then started using the new (beta at the time) plugin section.
Yesterday at 09:19 PM1 day The plugin data gets backed up in the eisy backup. The eisy backup is all inclusive. You have to migrate your plugins for this to be effective Edited yesterday at 09:24 PM1 day by Techman

Currently, I only have locally installed plugins using the new eisy plugin section, do local plugins not get backed up? I am only using the plugin section at this point for plugins I have created, I have not yet started migrating my purchased plugins over. Also, would a restore put all the plugins into their slots plus configuration files, or just configuration files?
Yesterday at 10:10 PM1 day Once you have migrated all your plugins you no longer need PG3x. The plugins become an intergal part of eisy-ui and you can disable PG3 in eisy-ui under settingsWhen you do a restore the plugin(s) get installed and the plugin data file from the backup is restored Edited yesterday at 10:15 PM1 day by Techman

8 hours ago8 hr Here's some clarifications regarding plugins & backup."PG3 backup" includes the exact same backup as when you were doing a backup of PG3x. This includes the PG3 database, and the plugin folders (that includes the plugin code & data files if any). Some plugins may write data to files. Some will persist their data into "nsdata", which is essentially stored in the PG3 database. Now eisy plugins work differently. Because this is integrated with eisy-ui, the eisy-ui backup already includes all the data that the plugins saves to a database (such as nsdata). Regarding the files, eisy-ui took a different approach than PG3. The vast majority of files in the plugin folder are the code and libraries that the plugin use. Most plugin don't save anything to the file system. Backing this up increases the backup size a lot, for no good reason. Instead, only data files located in these folders are backed up: data, config, persist & sounds. Plugins are expected to use one of these folders when saving data to the file system (If not using nsdata or other "customs"). When restoring a backup, eisy-ui restore will recoved the database. Then the plugin code is installed from the store - we don't need the files from the backup for this. Then the plugin data files are restored. So, "plugin data files" simply refers to these 4 folders. If you don't have any eisy-ui plugin to back up, it will show an x, which means that this is not included in the backup.
