Tuesday at 01:27 PM1 day Hi, I found some ambient light sensors that work very well giving a reading of 0 to 400+ giving them a very good range. However the problem is that the analog output is reversed from what is expected. 0 is light and 400+ is dark. Just wondering if there might be a way of inverting that through the webcontrl8 itself. Still looking for a light sensor that outputs the expected range of 0 for dark and 400+ for light. I do have some passive light sensors but they don't have the amp to increase their range of sensitivity. Thanks for any advice.GaryIt looks like it can be done with PLC programming but I would not know how to do that. Tuesday at 04:03 PM1 day Author Thanks Guy,I added this to the webcontrol8 PLC programing.START SUB 500 AIP2 VAR1 SKIP_OFF: END It does work but I don't think the light sensor is very linear. I can get 0 in full darkness and 498 in bright light as a value in the variable.Gary
Tuesday at 05:20 PM1 day The ideal method is by integration (averaging over time). 4 or 5 samples spread out over several minutes, then take an average. Then discard oldest sample and take new one, keep averaging.
