UD Mobile - Migrate from PG3 Concerns

Featured Replies

@Javi

Is it expected after migrating plugins from PG3 to eisy-ui, you loose the associated Favorites in UD Mobile with the next synchronization?

That is what I experienced after migrating several plugins over. Since I have a lot of customization programmed in my Favorites, that is a no starter for me.

I migrated the plugins back to pg3 and restored UD Mobile from a backup and was able to get my Favorites back working.

Not expected. should only happen if a node address changes or no longer exists, or command no longer exists for custom button.
I would try one at a time to check, also install latest staging which has fixes for some issues.

I am on stagging and ran an update this morning just before starting the migration. I also reboot eisy after the update.

I didn't notice the issue in UD Mobile until after I had migrated 3 plugins over to eisy-ui. All three lost Favorites after a synchronization in UD Mobile. I got the message about removing old data and did the backup each time, so I was able to restore UD Mobile after reverting the plugins back to PG3.

Ok, based on your other post it could be profiles related. defer until next eisy-ui update.

@Javi

Should I create a support ticket for the breaking Favorities?

Current suggestion would be the same, wait for next update for bug fixes for known issues.

@Javi

Does today's Staging update contain the fix for this, or do I need to wat for another release before migrating?

I have had various favorites disappear on ud mobile after various changes to eisy (not plugin migration) many times over the past few years. Fortunately I had ud Mobile backups to restore them.
