Administrative Console Error

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have been having problems with the Administrative Console on my ISY 99i. If I use the ISY webpage and view "Devices" the correct device states are listed.

If I log into the admin console, none of the device states are listed (blank, no on/off). When I try to add devices or query devices, I get a "Discovering Nodes; Retry" error. I've tried accessing the admin console directly through LAN IP and through the universal-devices.com/99i address: both have the same problem. If I access the ISY remotely using my internet WAN IP access, it appears to work just fine. I upgraded to the latest firmware 2.8.7 and still have the same problem with local access and through the universal-devices.com website. Any ideas why this is happening? I did clear my java cache, still not working.

I'm just happy I have a workaround by accessing it via WAN, but I'm hoping to fix this so I can access via LAN

Hello kaisersoze,

Apologies for the inconvenience.

The problems you are reporting are due to firewall software and specifically, you will have to put ISY's IP address in the White List or Trusted Zone on your firewall software.

For a list of remedies for specific firewall software, please checkout:

With kind regards,

Thanks for the reply. I spent the first day wondering how it would be a firewall problem if I could remote access but not locally access. But the second day I decided to accept your suggestion. Then I realized my PeerBlock software recently updated and when I temporarily shut it off it fixed the problem. I put my local IP zone in the permanent allow list and re-enabled the firewall, and all is working again. Weird that the blocker blocked my local IP's.

Thanks for the spot on advice!
