sofaspud Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I just unpacked a new isy-99i and having problems. Followed the instructions for connecting to my router and PLM, but when I power it up I get green on PWR, RX, TX and red Error flashing. Can't connect to it. Did I miss a step or is this unit NFG? Thanks
Brian H Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 You may want to verify the SD Memory Card didn't work loose in shipping. I believe the newer ones have an external slot where you can access it. My older one you have to remove the cover. Here is a Link to the full users manual if you don't have it yet. http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf The UDI wiki. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... =Main_Page
sofaspud Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 I check the card and it is OK. When I plug in the power, the PWR lights up. About 3 seconds later the RX and TX light steady and the Error begins to flash. What information is stored on the SD card?
LeeG Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 The ISY User Guide indicates an SD card issue when the ERR LED is blinking. The SD card contains a file system with configuration information. The User Guide describes the process for installing a new SD card. Before doing that I would remove the ISY power, unplug the SD card completely and reinsert the card in its slot.
sofaspud Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 Well, I tried a different SD card and I was able to connect to it. For some reason I can't get it to install the new firmware, so I copied the old card and reformated it. After re-installing the files it is working. I still can't update the firmware. I am also getting socket open errors in java. I will try to update that next. Thanks for everyones help. It is alive. I just need to learn more about it. Thanks again
