oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 There seems to be no way to query the date (just the time). The ISY doesn't know if it is winter or summer. Am I missing something? * Orest
oberkc Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 You can use dates as program conditions. Is this what you are asking?
oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 I somehow missed that, where exactly is that? It doesn't appear in the schedule dialog that I can see. * Orest
fitzpatri8 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 After you click on the Schedule button, remove the checkmark from the Daily box to reveal a date selector. Change the Time Is to From to get both a start and an end date.
oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 Bingo! Thanks. Now I have seasons. * Orest
oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 Hmm, still a little short of the mark. You would have to reset it each year, you can't set it to a certain month for example, only day/month/year. * Orest
fitzpatri8 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 You can presently combine dates in different years using AND and OR and (), such that you'd only need to edit them every several years.
oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 Yes you can, but that is clumsy. Seems that allowing for a wildcard year shouldn't be too difficult. Hope it gets "on the list". * Orest
DBaldwin Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 Yes you can, but that is clumsy. Seems that allowing for a wildcard year shouldn't be too difficult. Hope is gets "on the list". * Orest A number of users have been asking for wildcard year since the early days of UDI, all to no avail. Perhaps one of these days?
oskrypuch Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 Well, I guess I join the chorus. * Orest
fitzpatri8 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 The request has not gone unheard, but apparently making it happen is more complicated given the current system architecture than we might otherwise think. See http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... hp?p=41863 .
Michel Kohanim Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Thanks Tom ... Yes, indeed. Currently we are trying to have an offiical release. Once we have the release then we have a list of requirements to implemnet for the next cycle. We choose requirements to be implemented based on many factors one of which is "whether or not there is any workaround" ... With kind regards, Michel
