antem Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I have 13 switches, all were working great with one program. I got back in today to write some more programs and add a switch. Upgraded to the latest firmware, and now I get the Discovering Nodes; retry error and the switch statuses are not reporting. Sometimes I can turn on / off lights and sometimes, I can't. I also get the Discovering Nodes error as soon as I click on the configuration tab. Any ideas? I forgot to clean the java cache the first time I launched after the upgrade but then remembered and deleted the files. Was really looking forward to a stable system... Thanks - Nate
Michel Kohanim Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Hi Nate, Apologies for the inconvenience. This is usually a sign of the PLM going bad. Would you please: 1. Unplug the PLM and wait for about 1 minute 2. Unplug ISY 3. Plug PLM back in 4. Plug ISY back in 5. Login to the Admin Console and look for any 0101 green icons in the Device Tree on the left If you see green 0101 icons, then try disabling them (right mouse click and then disable) and then retry doing whatever you were trying to do. If this works, then the problem is not the PLM but that there are pending operations waiting to be written to your devices (right mouse clicke | Write pending updates) With kind regards, Michel
antem Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks Michel - that worked the second time. Thought I tried every version of reboot but I guess not.
