In short, now, the longer the timeout, the more errors you are going to get. So, please try 500, 750, 1000, and 1500. The most important test is to not get Server not responding (that's what the timeout should be used for). Once you have the timeout set, you can ignore Body timeout errors since the email has already been sent. You will be pleasantly surprised by the improved performance with shorter timeouts. Michel Kohanim Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 Hi Orest, All I can say is that I am envious! With kind regards, Michel Quote
bmah Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 We had to postpone our 3.1.0 cycle to include some minor bug fixes. Currently, we plan to release 3.1.0 beta by 03/07/2011. My first post as a new ISY-99 user, thanks for making a great product better! I'm just curious about numbering of releases...the latest publically available firmware I see is 2.8.x, and now there's a 3.1.0 beta in the works? Did you skip 3.0 or did I just miss it? (If the latter, just thwap me with a cluestick.) Bruce. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 Hi Bruce, Welcome! Releases numbers are based on the extent of changes in the release. So, if we have a major release, the major number changes (i.e. 2.x.x to 3.x.x). The second number is the release number. We do have 3.0.x internally but since we added major changes to address our features on our other lines, we chose 3.1.x so that all products are in synch. With kind regards, Michel Quote
mvprj84 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Man, that will teach me not to check back here in a two-week period. I can't believe we are getting variables! I can't wait to see how they mature over time, but they will definitely simplify some of my programs as they stand right now. Quote
dansmith Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I am also excited to see variables. I had an Ocelot for about 3 years before making the move to the ISY. There were so many features that made the ISY so much better, but my one frustration was the lack of variables. However, even without variables, the ISY is by far the very best home automation product that I have ever owned. The support and free ongoing software updates are fantastic! Quote
andyf0 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 "Detect F/C for thermostats" Hmm! What does this mean? Does it mean we can trigger on the fan turning on and off when heat and cool are triggered? Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 Hi andyf0, Sorry for not being clear enough. F=Fahrenheit and C=Celsius. With kind regards, Michel Quote

Michel Kohanim Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 Hi polexian, Loops are quite interesting! Of course a limited one can be use using Repeat. By web interface do you mean HTML interface? With kind regards, Michel Quote
Chris Jahn Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Now that we have variables.... how about some do whiles and while? We may add that at some point, but you do have most of that functionality now by having a program do a 'Run If' on itself, essentially using the conditions in the 'If' as the 'while' condition. Pgm: 'Bathroom Timer' If $BathRoomLightCount > 0 Then Wait 5 minutes $BathRoomLightCount -= 1 Run Program 'Bathroom Timer' (If) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Quote
polexian Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Wouldn't that take up more memory than a do while since it's nested? Quote
Chris Jahn Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Wouldn't that take up more memory than a do while since it's nested? It would take about the same amount of memory. The point of the post really was that you can do this now, although more direct support for 'while' may be added in the future. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Hello all, Release 3.1.2 (Beta) is now available at: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=6194 With kind regards, Michel Quote
andyf0 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I see 3.1.3 is posted. But there's no link for it. I pulled it by changing the 3.1.2 link to 3.1.3. I'm afraid that may not end up being the real 3.1.3 though. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 Hello Andy, Not out yet ... we are hoping to have it out by the end of the week or beginning of next week. Currently testing and adding more features. With kind regards, Michel Quote
phenneberry Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 I upgraded from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3, when I click on Administrative page, I receive Java error: Applet com.universaldevices.client.ui.UDClientApplet notinited, resulting in the admin page failing to load. I tried the basic Java that ISY recommends on a 'clean' machine - JRE 6U5, as well as the current version - both product the same error. How do I roll back to 3.1.2 when I cannot log into the admin console? Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Hello phenneberry, 3.1.3 is not released yet ... how did you upgrade to it? Please do not try downgrading. Simply point your browser to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.2/admin.jnlp . With kind regards, Michel Quote
