can't connect to NTP time server

looking through the forums, I think I have concluded that this is a router config issue, but I am still confused about it...

basically it stopped working about the same time I switched from AT&T DSL to WoW Cable (2x the speed and $10 less a month... seemed like a god idea at the time)

the only config in the router that I changed at that time was I switched from PPoE to DHCP

I tried both the pool.ntp (I forget the exact address it was, but it is the 'stock' one that worked with AT&T)

and time.nist.gov

neither can find the server...

I am running firmware version 2.8.16 if that matters, although I am mostly convinced it has to be a router issue, or WoW is defective in some way?... so I doubt the isy FW version matters...

also I haven't kept up with firmware, is that still a 'good' one? or is there better ones out now?

You probably need to change your dns. I had the same problem. When you click on the "synchronize now" button does it give you an error about the DNS?

It would make sense that this would happen when you switch providers since the DNS from your old provider is probably not accessable unless you are on their connection.
