simonsez Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Please add an option to disable the login requirement. I'd like to secure my ISY using a reverse proxy and AD authentication via Apache. This way I could use programs like the ek Isy program on my iphone to connect to my Isy externally. To maintain security an ip ACL could be used to restrict which systems can utilize the console. Thanks.
Michel Kohanim Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 simonsez, Unfortunately we cannot completely remove authentication. The subject of your post is disabling SSL ... for that, all you have to do is to use the HTTP port. With kind regards, Michel
simonsez Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 Michel, Sorry about the confusion in the title, I was going to ask about removing the SSL requirement so I could offload that to another system when I realized it could already be done as you suggested. Why would removing the authentication be so difficult? Simon
Michel Kohanim Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Hello Simon, It's really not the matter of difficulty since we are planning to have multi-user authentication and authorization support. For non-admin access, we would allow for the removal of userid/password. But for admin, it would not be very safe especially if you have the network module. With kind regards, Michel
