Excellent app, you have done a wonderful job. With IOS, you can share an app on up to 5 devices. How do I get this app on my wife's android after I already have installed it onto my account?

Thanks midrar!

Android apps are tied to a users Gmail address and unfortunatally Google/Android has no concept of sharing apps unless all devices use the same gmail account. What we can offer for those that purchase MobiLinc on Android is if you'll email me your order number and name to wes@mobileintegratedsolutions.com I can send you install instructions for a version of MobiLinc outside of the Marketplace that you can install (and will be tied to) your wife's phone for free.

This offer is available for anyone who has purchased MobiLinc for Android and would like to install it on their tablet or another Android device.

Hi apostolakisl,

There are no options that I'm aware of for developers to cross license Android and Apple apps from the iTunes App Store to the Android Marketplace.

Hi midrar,

No plans currently. We are focused on these two platforms to continue to bring new features to the ISY and other HA technologies.

We've looked at BB in the past, however, we feel that between market share, the BB app market, and the development environment we would not be able to bring an app to market that would be worth the time investment. As market share changes we will re-evaluate our plans for the BB OS.

Reviving an old thread ...

As I understand it, it's relatively easy for a dev to port android apps to the BB10 OS. Is there any potential for the mobilinc app to be ported to the Z10/Q10 environment? I understand that the uptake may be limited, but seems to me that the time investment in porting/testing the app should be fairly small.

thanks,

Ken.

Hi Ken,

Yes! We have MobiLinc Pro available on the BlackBerry App World for the OS 10 environment. We released right before the Z10 was made available in the US. Open the App World and search for MobiLinc.

Cool, thanks!

I'm about to be in the market for a new phone, I've been on the BB bandwagon for a few years, and my wife just got a Z10 a couple months ago. Availability of a good app to connect with the ISY in that environment is definitely a factor in the choice I'll make.

Hi Ken,

Do you have a Z10 & did you install Mobilinc? I am wondering if there is such a thing as widgets to control devices without having to open Mobilinc on the the new BB OS 10 like on Android, or you would need to open the app to do anything.

WES,

Can you answer that? Thanks.
