andrew77 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Hi Guys; I have a few scenes that work fine but when I look at the GUI interface some of the SWL On Level and Ramp Rates are wrong. Usually they are pinned to 0 and a ramp of 9 minutes. When I try to move the fader arrow, they do move. But when I shut down the interface and open it back up, the are back where they were. I see this on older SWL and newer ones too. Any thoughts? Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Drew, It seems that ISY has a hard time publishing events to the Admin Console. Do you get current status changes when you change them locally on the switch? With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Michel; Yes I do. For both the Basement hall (new SWL) and the Big Room Older SWL) All my scenes and such are working as expected. I just can't seem to make the ramp and on level arrow faders act the way they should. Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Hello Drew, Can you do me one more favor? Please remove the affected devices from the scene and then add them back in. With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Sorry for the delay Michel. I've removed the swl in question from the scenes but when I try to add them back in I get an error. Could Not Read Config File [/CONF / 180BC7.REC] Failed Adding Device To Scene [-200000 / -19] One time it said Failed Writing Device Link (Remotelink A Entertaining) [-200000 / -51] Hope this helps. Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hi Drew, Thank you. Can you tell me which firmware version you are on? If you are not on 3.1.9, I strongly recommend it as it should fix the first error with the .REC warning. The second error is because ISY cannot communicate with your device. With kind regards, Michel
Hurting2Ride Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I also have been having issues since 3.1.9 with on levels and ramp rates. I have found that if I move the slider to something other than the max first, then move it to the max, the change seems to take. Otherwise I find that they return to what seem to be new defaults in 3.1.9.
Michel Kohanim Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hello H2R, Are you certain you are using 3.1.9 UI (/99i/3.1.9)? This issue was resolved in 3.1.9. With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 I have the ISY-26. Can I use the latest version? I thought I could only go to 2.7.XX (I for get the exact version, but I downloaded the latest one tha tI thought I was allowed to use) Let me know if I can upgrade past that. Drew
Hurting2Ride Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Are you certain you are using 3.1.9 UI (/99i/3.1.9)? This issue was resolved in 3.1.9. I believe so. I upgraded the ISY to 3.1.9 and I link to isy.ip.address/admin.
TJF1960 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I have the ISY-26. Can I use the latest version?I thought I could only go to 2.7.XX (I for get the exact version, but I downloaded the latest one tha tI thought I was allowed to use) Let me know if I can upgrade past that. Drew I did some searching for you and found that the 2.7.15 firmware update was indeed the last official update you can use with the ISY-26. I know next to nothing about that model so I am unable to help any further, except to ask some questions that may help someone else to be able to help you. What type of browser are you using and what type of firewall/antivirus are you using. There have been some firewall issues lately with a couple of well known brands. Anyway sorry I couldn't be of more help, good luck. Tim
andrew77 Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 No Problem. I'm using my Mac with Safari. I have no antivirus software and I don't think I run a firewall. drew
Michel Kohanim Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Drew, Please do the following: 1. In Java Preferences | Network, go to Show Cache files and remove each and every one and then click on Delete Files 2. In Java Preferences | Security, remove all the certificates 3. Use http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp 4. MAKE SURE you accept the security warning (choose Run) With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 I did what you asked and I still have the same issue. I still get "Could not read config file" Usually it says Request failed Once it said "Subscriber didn't reply to event:1
Michel Kohanim Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Hi andrew77, I am so very sorry. I think it's time that we scheduled a call with our tech support team so that they can log into your computer and see what's going on. Would you be kind enough to use the link below (Submit Ticket) to submit a ticket and provide us with some of your available times for the next few day? Our tech support dept. is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM PDT. With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 We could try logging into my computer but we tried before. I'm out in the country on Satellite internet and trying to get past all their IPs and whatnot proved to be impossible the last time we tried. (I'm working on finding better rural internet service here) I can phone maybe friday at a certain time and work with someone via the phone. Let me know if that's a possibility. Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hi Drew, Are you remote to your ISY? With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 I'm not sure what you mean by remote to my ISY. The way it's plugged into my network? Drew
matapan Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 The Mac does have a firewall, and the latest security update distributed for Snow Leopard gave me issues, some of which were resolved by adding the Admin Console applet to the exceptions list. Other issues, like the capability of the ISY Finder to locate the ISY device to connect with will not work, because there is no longer a checkbox to allow UDP packets through the firewall. The firewall is under System Preferences | Security.
andrew77 Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 I just checked my Firewall and it's off. I'm not sure why it's just the two SWLs. Thanks for the thought. Any others would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get my ISY tidied up. I've had a KPL go down and need to order another to replace it. When you get used to the automation, not having it cramps your style a little .
Michel Kohanim Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Hi Drew, No, you mentioned that you were out of the country and it would be difficult to go through firewalls. Without having access to your computer which is local to ISY, it would be quite difficult to diagnose and fix the problems you are having. With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Not that I'm out of the country but that I live in the country and the only option for internet at this time is Satellite. I have no firewalls active on my computer but I remember us having a problem getting through the last time we tried. We can try it again if you'd like. I'm up for anything to fix this. Let me know how you want me to proceed. Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Hi Drew, Please do be kind enough to click on Submit a Ticket below and provide us with a few dates/times when we can contact you. Once verified, we'll schedule you and let you know when you'll be called. Our hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM PDT M-F. With kind regards, Michel
andrew77 Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Hi guys; First off, a big thanks to Rand for all the help and patience. You guys go out of your way to redefine customer support. Just want to let you know it's greatly appreciated. After we did all the redo-ing of the ISY etc... I've had a few issues. I've had to reboot the ISY a few times (I just assumed that's normal after everything we did to it) I'm having a problem getting a KPL to trigger a scene. It was working but now it doesn't seem to want to bend to my will!!! I've removed it from the scene and then put it back in but it does nothing. The LED lights up but nothing as far as triggering goes. Should I remove it entirely from the ISY and start again? Let me know where to start. Drew
Michel Kohanim Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi Drew, You should not have to reboot ISY at all. The more details the more we'll be able to troubleshoot effectively. As far as your KPL, I suspect that it no longer has a link to the PLM. You have two choices: a) right mouse click | Restore Device OR remove the KPL from ISY and add it back in. With kind regards, Michel
