ronbo Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 When I try to link my V1.5 KPL with the ISY 99, it is picked up as a 5 button controllink rather than a keypadlink. Any Thoughts
Sub-Routine Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 My 1.5 linked properly when I used the button press method. Rand
ronbo Posted February 2, 2008 Author Posted February 2, 2008 Can you describe the method you used? I used the link controlink command and then pressed the channel 1 button for 10 seconds. MY version 1.6 KPL works fine Ron
Sub-Routine Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I used the Start Linking menu item. Then press and hold button 1 on the KPL. Rand
ronbo Posted February 3, 2008 Author Posted February 3, 2008 Okay, MY 8button KPL was now recognized as a KPL, but the six button was still recognized as a controllink using that method
Michel Kohanim Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Hello ronbo, Apologies for the inconvenience. Please do make sure to use either Start Linking or New Insteon Device when trying to add anything but a ControLinc or RemoteLinc. Also, please note that KPLs v. 1.5 and 1.6 had some strange behavior for which we have made a workaround to be available soon (http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=769). With kind regards, Michel Okay, MY 8button KPL was now recognized as a KPL, but the six button was still recognized as a controllink using that method
