Michel Kohanim Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.2.0 release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release to support I2CS devices (including FanLinc). Know Issues In some cases, programs are not loaded. Currently investigating. You must use the following URLs to access ISY (this will be fixed in the next release): http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.0/admin.jnlp OR http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.0/ Things to test: - Register and manage I2CS devices, FanLinc, and TempLinc - Make notifications are working again using friendly names (i.e. fname lname:account) Important Information 1. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade. 2. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 3. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 4. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 5. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. 99/994i - http://isy/admin - applet (Windows only) b. 99/994i - http://isy/admin.jnlp - Java application (Windows only) c. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet d. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application e. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.0 - applet f. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.0/admin.jnlp - Java application Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Quote
andyf0 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Well, I lost a bunch of programs and a bunch others show they need to be saved. I have whole folders empty. The ones that show they need to be saved only show one line of the program: "Run Program " Guess I'll try a restore. Quote
RLIKWARTZ Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Same thing happened to me. I'm doing a restore now to see if everything comes back. Quote
andyf0 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Same thing happened to me. I'm doing a restore now to see if everything comes back. What's the scoop, did you get your programs back? I can't decide whether to do a restore or back rev to 3.1.17. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Hi guys, I am so very sorry to hear this. We cannot reproduce this problem. Can you please: 1. Let me know if you have any modules installed (Help | About)? If so, which modules? 2. Change the userid/password on your ISY, take a backup and send to support@universal-devices.com Again, sincere apologies. With kind regards, Michel Quote
andyf0 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I've reverted to 3.1.17 and all programs are now intact without having to do a restore. Michel, I assume you want a backup under 3.2.0 or is 3.1.17 backup OK. Happy to go back to 3.2.0 just to get you a backup. No modules installed here. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Hi Andy, Can you tell me: 1. What URL you use to access your ISY? 2. Do you have any module installed (Help | About)? 3. Can you save Tools | Error Log and send it to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel Quote
RLIKWARTZ Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Same with me. I didn't have to restore the config the programs were back after going back to 3.1.17. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Hi Andy, 3.1.17 backup and the current error log please. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Quote

LeeG Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Installed 3.2.0 successfully. Have no Program issues but not many Programs on the test bed system. Cleared the Java cache and Help | About shows correct information. I use 192.168.2.2 to access test bed system. Successfully added an I2CS Motion Sensor using New INSTEON Device and specifying Device Type Motion Sensor. Successfully added an I2CS FanLinc using New INSTEON Device with Auto Discovery. Quote
srogala Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Programs are looking ok for me on my ISY99i Pro. Under help (after clearing Java cache and restarting the browser on two computers) it says the firmware is 3.2.0 but the UI is 3.1.17 (which was my previous release). Should both say 3.2.0? Also, should the FanLinc be in the dropdown list of devices when manually adding a device? I can't seem to find it but there's a lot to look for. If I can find that them I'll be up on a ladder tomorrow! Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Hi LeeG, thanks so very much. Hi srogala, please go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.2.0/admin.jnlp . With kind regards, Michel Quote
andyf0 Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Pretty sure both have to say 3.2.0. Mine did. Quote
LeeG Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Installed 3.2.0 successfully on house system. Have no Program issues here either but not many Programs here either. Cleared the Java cache and Help | About shows correct information. Access this system with 192.168.2.6 Have tested the Master Bathroom Motion Sensor Programs. They are working fine. Quote
Brian H Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 All of my programs also went away except two with one X10 command only in it. I also went back to 3.1.17 and all is better now. ISY99i Pro 4GB SD Card replacing original 128K one. A10/X10 Module Network Module Weather Information Module. Internet access disabled. When I reinstalled Firmware 3.1.17. I also did not have to restore the programs from a backup. They just showed up. Quote
andyf0 Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Michel was able to duplicate "some of the problems" using my backup. Hopefully there's a fix soon. On a positive note my variable display was fixed on my Mac and the EMail notifications now work with the "From:" field filled in. Quote
rwright Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 When I upgraded to 3.1.17 (from 2.? something) I could no longer send email notifications (after the first one). So I just installed 3.2.0 and now I have lost most of my programs. (About 15 out of 25 are missing.) Even a restore does not bring them back. So I went back to 3.1.17 and all my programs are back, even without a restore. But my email notifications still don't work (default or otherwise). Help please. Quote

dstanley Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 I too lost most of my programs ... Redid firmware back to 3.1.17 and all my programs were fine. With the new firmware I had empty program folders and some of the programs that were there had errors in them. Dwight Quote

Unfortunately, I've never been able to get the ISY-99 to work with my own email servers due to authentication issues. So I have to use the default checkbox which does not allow setting of the From field. Does anyone know the default values so I can enter them manually? Quote
