2941T1E Integrated Thermostat Unreliable

Just put in 3 thermo's...2 seemed to identify fine, 1 took many tries and resets.

Now all seem to have very intermittent queries on 3.1.17.

Trying 3.2.1, but seems the same.

Have read the other posts, but most seem to get it working. Is there something I am missing? Should I not expect to be able to get status from the thermo's at any given time?

Thanks!

Hello rls,

If your thermostat version is v95, this has become a known issue that we are tracking and trying to resolve with SmartHome. In short, commands although successful, do not change the settings on the thermostat itself.

With kind regards,

Michel, is this the issue when the thermostat is in "Program Auto" mode. I switch settings 2 times a day on 2 thermostats without issue but then I run in "Auto" mode.

These are brand new and are v2.3 on the insteon side.

They seem to work "most" of the time, but sometimes not.

I also found an issue i was having with my program. Trying to create something that would run the fan for 15 mins every half hour, turns out I am learning about ISY programming!

I think it's just learning about this from my end. Will keep you advised. As long as it's mostly stable, I'll be fine...just not sure how to deal with the odd comm's issues.

Robert,

Can you please confirm that you do in fact have two dual band, or access points coupling both electrical legs of your home?

You will require at least one RF device such as a access point to ensure a reliable and consistent communications. Also, any and all signal suckers / noise makers are properly filtered?

Teken . . .
