Michel Kohanim Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 05.10.2012: Hello all, Thanks to all your help and support, release 3.2.6 is now our official release! Thanks and with kind regards, Michel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.2.6 (RC2) release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a minor release with the hope that it will become our official release. Know Issues None Things to test: - HTTPS performance especially with 2048 RSA keys - ELK on UDAjax Important Information 1. Important If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one before the upgrade. 2. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 3. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 4. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 5. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i - applet d. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp - Java application Dashboard - not fully supported - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/dashboard.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Quote
blueman2 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Upgraded from 3.2.5 no issues. Basic testing shows all working fine as before. Not tested for HTTPS or UDAjax. And speaking of UDAjax, is there a site/thread that talks about this and how to develop with it? I found a few posts referring to it, but no real details. EDIT: nevermind. Found a site listed in the index.html code. http://sites.google.com/site/isyajax/ Quote
Niccolo Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Upgraded from 3.2.5 with no issues. Elk is now working again!! Thanks! Niccolo Quote
Physpher Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 No issues here either. Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Xathros Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Upgraded 3.2.5 -> 3.2.6 remotely with no apparent issues. -Xathros Quote
Moshe Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Upgraded to 3.2.6. Everything seems to be working perfectly. Quote
bocarob Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Possible bug: Old motion i1 will turn on fine but the off command is sent logged but then returns to on right after all my i1 sensors acting this way since upgrade... Regards Robert Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 Hi Robert, Did you reprogram any of your Motion Sensors? So, to recap, you receive the Off command and then it goes back to On (and this is also logged)? With kind regards, Quote
fmark Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Upgraded from 3.2.5 to 3.2.6. My ISY994i seems to be less responsive now. After update, ISY had rebooted. 'Memory' indicator stayed on. ISY was unreachable. I waited for about 5 minutes. Then I disconnected it from the power and powered it on again. When it came back, I was able to connect to it, but it became much slower. HTTPS connection on the local network (LAN) also seems to be much slower then it was in 3.2.5. I'm talking about Admin console. HTTPS connection from the internet does not work at all. It worked with 3.2.5, but was slow. Now it does not work at all. Any advice please ? Thank you! Quote
bocarob Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I did not reprogram anything I have attached a log then i tried a restore for the fun of it to see if that help and got a comm error so the restore failed but the device will not stay in the off mode ever this is common to all 4 of my older type motions the new type seem just fine. log attached it is not a zip file but text file ISY-Events-Log.v3.2.6__Wed 2012.05.09 09.18.55 AM.zip Quote
LeeG Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 bocarob If you would please, rerun the Event Trace with Level 3-Device communications events selected. The posted trace does not show actual commands coming from motion sensor Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 Hello fmark, I am so very sorry to hear. Can you tell me: 1. What key strength are you using for your SSL certificate? 2. Can you open the Event Viewer and see if there is any traffic? 3. Can you send your Error Log to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel Quote
fmark Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Hello fmark, I am so very sorry to hear. Can you tell me: 1. What key strength are you using for your SSL certificate? 2. Can you open the Event Viewer and see if there is any traffic? 3. Can you send your Error Log to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel Hello Michel, 1. When the problem occurred I regenerated SSL certificate with the 512 key (trying to figure out what is causing slowness). With 512 it seems to work faster via HTTPS. Before that I had the key set to 1024. Is there a way to remove certificate completely ? How does certificate strength affect communication performance ? 2. Yes, Event Viewer shows traffic normally. 3. I sent Error Log to support@universal-devices.com. Thank you, Mark Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Hi Mark, thank you. I already responded to your email. Please note that you cannot disable SSL/HTTPS. What you can do (which I strongly advise against) is to forward to port 80 instead of 443. With kind regards, Michel Quote
ThisIsTheWay Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I upgraded from 3.1.17 and my MorningLinc and TriggerLinc are now not recognized. I am away from home and cannot re-link them right now. I will let you know if they work when I get back to re-link. Quote
LeeG Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 uffy Do you mean the device type is not recognized? Make sure that Help | About shows 3.2.6 for Firmware and UI lines. If not clear Java cache and use the URL for accessing the 3.2.6 Admin Console. Quote
zurakowg Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Hi, Michel, I upgraded from 3.1.7. All fine EXCEPT my 2476ST SwitchLinc Relay no longer recognized (no communication with device, supposedly). Tried to restore device but that didn't work as couldn't communicate with device. So did a factory reset on Switchlinc, then added the Switchlinc to ISY99i from scratch using explicit choice of type of device. Now all is back to normal. Quote
Michel Kohanim Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Hello Mr. Zurakowski, That's indeed quite odd. Would you be kind enough to keep an eye and keep us posted? I really do not think the firmware had anything to do with it. So, the fact that you had to factory reset it and reinstall it in ISY is suspect. That's why I think there's a good chance that it will happen again. With kind regards, Michel Quote
Teken Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Hi, Michel, I upgraded from 3.1.7. Would you be so kind and also confirm that your 2476ST 15 timers still operate as expected, along with the 1, 2 hour timers. Also, would you also try to change the default 15 timer using the ISY's option function and change that value to say 20 minutes and let me know if it sticks. As I continue to experience a loss in functionality of these key features. Teken . . . Quote
mrp Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Upgraded to 3.2.6 yesterday, and rewrote all my Irrigation programs (due to other issues--don't ask. ) The only problem I've found so far is that ${mod.weather.rain.ratemax} doesn't appear to produce any output when used with Emails/Notifications Customizations. cheers & thanks for the great work! mrp Quote
Guest Dr. Emilio Lizardo Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I attempted to upgrade to 3.2.6 today. I backed up the ISY and downloaded the 3.2.6 software. I manually upgraded and the ISY rebooted. When I re-opened the administrative console, the status of my devices was not given and one of my thermostats was flagged. I did a hard reboot of the ISY (kileed power to it for 30 secs.) and now when I open the admin console none of my devices or programs are listed nor is the configuration information there. The command "manually upgrade 'system name'" is absent. The TX and RX lights are unlit and the mem and error lights are blinking. Please help! Art Lazarow Quote
Brian H Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 The MEM and ERR LEDs flashing is a network connection loss. You may first want to look at Tools, Diagnostics, PLM Info/Status. To see if your power cycle of the ISY99i lost connection to the PLM. If it says not connected. Power down the ISY99i and PLM. Then power up the PLM followed by the ISY99i. The ISY99i goes into a safe mode if the PLM is not detected and many features are not avilable for safety. Quote
Guest Dr. Emilio Lizardo Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Brian H. Thanks for the response. I did as you suggested. No joy! Definitely a network problem as the router does not indicate the ISY is connected to it. Art Lazarow Quote
