ejh3
Good Afternoon folks! Ed here! I am currently puzzled right now, trying to program my Keypadlinc(s) to control another Keypadlincs Load (a Foyer Light). I created a scene (Front Foyer) I added the Load (Foyer Light) of the main keypadlinc as the Responder I then added another Keypadlinc button as a controller I have tried various toggle/non toggle, but I can't seem to get this to work. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ed Link to comment
oberkc
It all sounds about right. The only thing that I can think of is the "on" level when the other keypad button is controller. From the device list, in the foyer scene, select the controller button. Once selected, note the "on" level for the load keypad. Is it set to zero? Link to comment
ejh3
I really think there is an issue with my ISY, it will not take my programming right away. I have had to reboot the whole device 3 times for it to finally take. Any idea on how to resolve that? How do you reset after you program devices? Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi ejh3, Which device did you have to reboot 3 times and what's your ISY's firmware version? And, what you are trying to accomplish? Putting the load as a responder means that when you turn on/off the load, the sub button is not going to reflect the correct status. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
ejh3
Mike, I stand corrected, I have programmed both as Controllers. This evening while programming several scenes and programs, but it seems like I have to reboot the ISY each time i'm finishing making changes. Does that make sense? The devices were all keypadlincs. Michel Kohanim
Hi ejh3, Without details, it would be quite difficult figuring out what problems you are having and why you need to reboot ISY. Why do you have to reboot ISY? With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
ejh3
Michel, For some reason, after I programmed (3) different scenes last night, I cycled the keypadlincs, but they wouldn't work. I then reset the ISY (unplugged it), once it rebooted, the keypadlinc still didn't work. I then reset the ISY AGAIN, and after it rebooted the keypadlincs within the scene worked. I also had another weird thing happen last night, I currently have (5) door contacts programmed into an EZIO and have it all programmed into a scene that will notify me when armed, if any door opens. Well, last night I received random "open door" alarms several times, the alarms were for events that happened yesterday (over 8 hrs from when the alarm happened). Just so you know, I have had this door contact scene working without an incident for over 3 weeks. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed Link to comment
Brian H
What is the firmware revision used by your ISY Controller? Help tab About Choice. Revision number should be there and both the User Interface and Firmware versions should be the same. Link to comment
Michel Kohanim
Hi Ed, In addition to Brian's questions above, please note that rebooting ISY has no bearing on communications between devices. My recommendation is to NOT reboot ISY before contacting our tech support. It would be best to login to your computer and see what's going on. With kind regards, Michel Link to comment
