GeorgeRode Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I’m going to get a Davis weather station, climate module and irrigation module for my home ISY 944i but can’t find out how many EZFlora can be connected together. I’m using 22 zones now and would like to keep that many. Anyone know? Thanks
LeeG Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 There is no practical limit to the number of EZFlora devices that can be defined to the ISY. They operate independently, each with its own Insteon address. With 22 zones 3 EZFlora devices are required.
GeorgeRode Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks, just wanted to make sure this plan is going to work. Spend over $300 on water during the summer.
arw01 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 You could probably save some money getting the zigbee unit from simplehome net that handles 16 and get 2 of those instead. I put in a sprinkler system this year and used the Hunter MP Rotator heads, which happen to be available at Home Depot for about 30% more than the local HD Fowler chain. They use less water than regular heads because they are so precise. You can literally stand on the sidewalk on a breezy day and stay dry while they are watering.

GeorgeRode Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 My ISY 994i doesn't have Zigbee, is it worth it for the new unit?
Michel Kohanim Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Hi GeorgeRode, ISY does not support Zigbee units from SHN. With kind regards, Michel
GeorgeRode Posted December 28, 2012 Author Posted December 28, 2012 I just ordered an ISY994iZ/IR PRO (UPGRADE) That should take care of it. Looks like a much cleaner panel. Thanks
arw01 Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 Looks like I steered you wrong according to Michael's post right above us. I assumed Zigbee was Zigbee.
GeorgeRode Posted December 30, 2012 Author Posted December 30, 2012 Hi GeorgeRode, ISY does not support Zigbee units from SHN. With kind regards, Michel Michell, Thanks for the personal wonderful guidance and for canceling the order when you they would not work together. George from Eugene
