edentel Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 I have a pair of Venstar thermostats with the replacement RF adapters. Once a week or so one or the other goes nuts. The cold set point goes to 0, the max sex point hits the max, or both. So far the only reliable method of getting them back in order is to pull the adapter and cycle power to them. I have no devices set to control or trigger from the thermostats. I do have an ISY99 polling them. I can't find any cause for it and we only notice when the house hits 65 or 74 as a result of the maxed out set points. Has anyone seen anything like this?
Michel Kohanim Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Hello edentel, These are known issues with older versions of thermostat dongle firmware. I strongly recommend getting them replaced. With kind regards, Michel
elvisimprsntr Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I've often thought of running over my Venstar with my car, but with my luck I'd get a flat. I got a Nest instead.
