Kentinada Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 I went into the admin console today of my ISY-99i and it said there was a new version of the software available. 3.3.x I think. I was running 3.2.6 so I said automatically upgrade it. I said yes to the backup but the backup failed. I think if flagged something almost at the end of the backup process that said something like can't write 45.COND maybe? Anyway the system upgrade process didn't stop when the backup failed. And then the upgrade failed. I could no longer connect to it through the browser. So I went to check the device and all the lights were out. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Now the Rx and Tx lights are on solid and the red Error light is blinking. What do I do now? Link to comment

If you have a new SD Card, please try the following: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... an_SD_Card Please do NOT format your original SD Card since we might need it only because your last backup failed. Kentinada Posted February 8, 2013 Author Share Posted February 8, 2013 The SD card that was in my ISY-99i is made by SanDisk but it just says Adapter on it. There is no size on the card. I have a 32GB card from my video camera I can use but I think I read where 16GB is the max the device will support. Anyway, I put it in and tried to Telnet to the device per the instructions you referenced and it says "Connection refused". What do I do now? Link to comment

Kentinada Posted February 8, 2013 Author Share Posted February 8, 2013 Michael, If I'm willing to use my last good backup which was unfortunately back in October, can I do a factory reset with the SD card it came with, i.e. the one that is now corrupt, and be able to restore that way? Kentinada Posted February 8, 2013 Author Share Posted February 8, 2013 I am back online. I am throwing away the old 1GB SD card that came with the ISY. I restored from my Oct backup so I lost a few devices and some program changes but I think I have it back now. I did a backup and this one worked fine. Not sure what happened to the original SD card but I suppose you never know. Link to comment
